INTRODUCTION
Information technology is a system which is connected and formulated through hardware,
software, network and data centre. The main agenda to implement IT in an organisation is to
operate, test and monitor all types of information technology services. Cloud computing is a
general term that work for delivering hosted services to all internet user. Basically this types of
services are divided into several categories and work for providing effective internet services
through their medium. This assignment is written from perspective of DCSL software which is a
IT firm in UK. Its head-office is situated in Farnborough, UK. This project highlights on cloud
computing and cloud storage services along with their confidential information such as privacy
and secured data.

Cloud computing is a method of delivering effective services to its customer's by the
medium of internet. This is developed to store data on remote bases rather than cloud based
storage (Villari and et. al., 2016). In order to operate internet electronic devices are main sources
which is used to perform internet operations effectively. In present scenario business is
expanding their operations at global level therefore DCSL provides services to store data on
cloud services. It governs that big organisation stores large number of data so it is difficult for
them to store in hard drive or some other local device. Therefore cloud services are offered by IT
organisation in order to ensure essential information about the data. In present scenario cloud
computing is best and suitable option for organisation, people and business through which it is
easy for them to complete their goals. Like DCSL assist all of them to store data at minimum
cost and time. Moreover it is used to increase their productivity, speed and efficiency by
providing data in minimum time period.
Cloud computing is a key term for present organisation as it leads them to gain
information from virtual space. Companies such as DCSL which provide cloud services enable
clients to store their information on remote servers. After they access all of their data through
internet it states that user or organisation are free to complete their work from remote places.
Another term that plays an vital role in term of cloud computing is simply referred as cloud
which is a internet based computing and offers to store information through various information

hard drives so to overcome from this problems. Cloud computing is introduce in market with a
model which is named as pay-as-you-go. The main benefit which is achieved by organisation
through this method is that it allow companies to pay amount according to their need. Along with
it contributes in organisation to store and deliver data for companies through various application
that deploys data quickly. Further this methods also require low maintenance so it is for
organisation and service provide to manage and store data easily at a huge level (Sultan, 2014).
Several big organisation either they operate their business in retail sector, wholesale market and
information technology sector. This is mandatory for organisation to use cloud computing
services because it leads to gain first mover advantage in industry. It results organisation convert
opportunity into potential market due to which DCSL and other business's sustain their
operations for a longer time period in organisation.

Some basic and important ones terms that helps to understand cloud computing industry with a
effective approach. Like DCSL need to gather information of some clients which is operating
their business's at global level. Therefore they provide XaaS it ensures they provide service of
each type which is available on cloud. For this it undertakes several terms such as SaaS, DaaS,
PaaS and IaaS etc. to organisation. While another perspective is related with consideration of
data. In this it undertakes sensitive data that is most necessary for to keep confidential
information about organisation. Example- DCSL is focused towards safety of their clients
financial data, insurance policies and intellectual property rights. Another consideration is related
with who is authorise to utilize application (Garraghan, Townend and Xu, 2014). Like there are
different stakeholders are present in organisation that directly impact on business's operations.
Their are different types of clouds are present in information technology sector. Private,
public, hybrid and community clouds. Public clouds refers to those which determines that is
whole computing infrastructure that is located on central premises and offers various cloud
services. Private cloud as it name suggest it is controlled or managed by a single organisation.
Main feature of private cloud as they provide services at remote places to customer's. Hybrid
computing cloud work as an infrastructure which is a combination of private as well as public
cloud. This determines customer's , business's partners and employee's are some of them that
uses cloud computing services. An application that's going to be widely used by organisation is
migration of clouds from various services. Like small organisation implements their cloud
system with better approach through delegating equal responsibility and authority to employee's.
According to present market scenario and conditions most of business's are interrelated
with each other. It signifies security and privacy are closely linked with each other but they
perform different roles with each other. Security is about safeguarding of data whereas privacy is
about safeguarding of user and their identity. Specific differences between them is explained like
security is refer to protect against unauthorised access of information. While privacy is to secure
user specific details so an single entity is able to manage and organise necessary information
(Chang, Walters and Wills, 2014).
Global business's and cloud computing provide several benefits to customer's as well as
organisation. But there are some barriers is also exist in organisation like data replication, data
loss and other threats. Although concepts of security and privacy tangled with each other. In
information technology sector it is possible to have security without privacy where in context of

privacy this is not possible to maintain it without security. DCSL provides effective cloud
services to its clients so it is important for them to secure all information about their clients. In
context to secure information about organisation and employee's they started to store information
on clouds rather than stores and hard drivers.
Another issue to secure information is related with technical issue. For organisation
context security it is needed to complete their work from website and digital communication
channel. Therefore DSCL create safe environment in organisation by engage in different security
services (Alkhater, Wills and Walters, 2014). So it is for user to enrol for required information
within minimum time period and at remote place. Information for this system is related through
different practices such as government, corporations all are required to assured information.
Management of DCSL and other business's houses are securing their data through various digital
medium. Like government fulfilled their responsibilities by formulating government rules and
regulations. While organisation are ignoring their digital privacy of users and others. Many of
this business's attaining organisational objectives through implementing digital mediums. Other
issues are related with other organisational factor that come up with acquiring, controlling and
safeguard of data and information.
The way to ensure data through cloud computing is effective but this is not possible to
completely depend on it. So there are different ways exists in organisation through which they
maintain their confidential data. For context of DCSL management keep a local backup of their
data. As this all is business's information so management need to be extra conscious, like backup
data and hard copies helps them to secure their confidential information. While another
perspective is related with dynamic changes in country and technology. To become a successful
organisation in industry technology and data is performing an important role in business's
(Aazam and et. al., 2014). So administration department of DCSL makes primary function of
securing their data and privacy of its clients. For considering this in effective way they regular
monitor security of its data and store it on cloud platform to easily access information about
customer's. At last to ensure security and privacy of data DCSL provides hybrid cloud services
to clients. This assist them to interact with end user through public cloud while private cloud
ensure user privacy.

In the end by monitoring all above points it is concluded that most of the organisation are
using information technology in present scenario. So cloud computing is most beneficial for
them as it leads them to attain their goals within specified period. Like private clouds helps an
organisation to assure user privacy. While public clouds provides a large platform that offers
various effective services to its customer's. Further there are various organisation are performing
their work at global level so cloud security is also an important factor for all types of business's
to store their confidential information.
