Background
Cloud computing have been one of the technology that have been gaining importance in
the regular day to day operational process of different industries. Acceptance of technology have
been immense. This assignment will be helping in proper assessment of the management controls
that are to be taken for successful usage of cloud.
Literature Review
According to Rocha, Gomez, Araújo, Otero and Rodrigues (2016), Cloud management
refers to different technologies and designed software’s that helps in proper monitoring of the
apps and increase the efficiency of the operational process. The cloud management tools ensure
that the cloud resources stay working and hence wise proper assessment of the working process
is considered. The cloud management process includes the factors namely developing strategies
that will be monitoring the performance. Response time, latency and uptimes are considered as
one of the major aspect that are considered in the cloud management section. The other aspects
that are considered in the section are namely the security and compliance auditing process.
Management of the security and compliance have been another reason that have played a major
role in developing disaster plans.
The core management features that are provided by most of the cloud management
services includes the feature of supporting different types of cloud, creating as well as
provisioning different type of cloud resources, which includes the machine instances, staged
application as well as staged application. Providing performance reporting is also considered as
an important feature.

There are certain responsibilities that are to be taken in order to perform proper
management of the billing process. The billing process is performed on a pay as you go basis.
Again it is seen that the management service is considered to be important and scalability also
plays a major role in the process (Berger et al., 2016). The communication process in between
the clouds and other systems have used the cloud networking standard as well.
According to Cura, Perret and Paparoditis (2017), for proper monitoring of the entire
cloud computing deployment stack, monitoring in 6 different categories are required. This
includes the likes of End User Service, namely HTTP, TCP and SMTP. The 2nd aspect that is
considered in the process is namely the browser performance. The 3rd aspect that is considered in
the process is namely application monitoring in the cloud. This includes the likes of Apache and
MySQL. The 4th option that is included in the section is namely cloud infrastructure monitoring
such as Amazon Web Services. The 5th instance that is considered in the section is that there is a
proper assessment of the machine instances. The 6th factor that is considered in the process is
namely network monitoring.
There are certain aspects that are considered in the process that ensures that there is a
creation of the domain set up. Viewing of data as well as error lags are also considered in the
process. Analyzing network traffic have been another aspect that is to be considered. Browsing
the data store of the application is also considered in the section (Vo et al., 2018). Browsing the
application’s scheduled task is also stated. Testing of the app and hence swapping out versions
are also considered.
