AI Summary
This project is a poster presentation on cloud computing. The poster, created using Canva.com, provides an introduction to cloud computing, detailing its history, the innovation process, applications, and associated risks and challenges. It also includes a timeline of key events. The project emphasizes cloud computing's significance in contemporary business, its benefits like cost reduction, flexibility, and 24/7 availability, and its applications in areas such as security, risk management, and big data analytics. The poster discusses different cloud types (private, hybrid, and public) and the challenges related to security, cost management, and resource storage. The conclusion highlights cloud computing's importance in reducing operational costs, enabling access to documents and applications worldwide, and facilitating IT improvements. References from various sources are included to support the information provided in the poster.

1CLOUD COMPUTING
Introduction
The chosen artefact for my topic of “cloud computing” is a poster. I have made a
poster through Canva.com. The poster is comprised of an introduction of the subject, its
history, the innovation process used, application of cloud computing and the risk and
challenges associated with it. Lastly, an image of timeline of cloud computing has been
provided in the poster to display the list of events associated with cloud computing in
chronological order. I have chosen cloud computing for the fact that the contemporary
business organisations are highly considering cloud computing as a cornerstone. It has
become a trend that every company is using it to get secured access to their system
information.
Discussion
To me, the concept of cloud computing is all about delivering different computing
services remotely over the internet. According to Shawish and Salama (2014), the concept of
cloud computing is a manipulation, accessibility and configuration of different types of
applications done online. It is a very dynamic software that offers a wide range of benefits to
its users including application, data storage and infrastructure. AI-Rouson (2015) in this
regard have also claimed that cloud computing is a combination of different types of software
and hardware based computing sources that are delivered as a network service to the users. It
is to note that cloud computing became popular when Amazon.com released the first Elastic
Compute Cloud product in the year 2007 (Barbarossa, Sardellitti and Di Lorenzo 2014). The
term "cloud" was first used for referring to the different platforms for distributing teh
computing in 1993. It refers to a "Internet" or "Network". The concept of cloud computing
has been widely credited with increase in the level of competitiveness through reduction in
cost, increase in elasticity, greater flexibility and optimal utilization of resources. It provides

24*7 availability and performance oriented infrastructure. (Liu and Zhao 2014)It believes in
the optimization of the available resources. The disaster recovery plan of cloud computing
helps in the process of restoring the data quickly on the cloud. It is very cost effective and is
exceptionally flexible in nature.
It is to note that cloud computing has many application in various different fields.
Two of the most important include in terms of SRC (Security, Risk Management and
Compliance Management) and in big data analytics. According to Kaur and Rai (2014), the
concept of cloud computing is divided into 3 different forms of cloud and they include-
private cloud, hybrid cloud and public cloud. They have their characteristics. Its flexible and
cost efficient nature helps in making the flow of data smooth and it is associated with the
managed cloud services. Although there are many questions on its reliability, cloud
computing functions in rapid manner (Khalil, Khreishah and Azeem 2014). It offers the
possibility of storing the files and accessing them while retrieving them from the web-
enabled interface. Furthermore, cloud computing also has the potential of tapping into the
huge range of quantities of both types of unstructured and structured data for harnessing the
advantage of extracting the value of business (Ayram 2014).
Notwithstanding these facts, there are several risks and challenges associated with
cloud computing and this ranges from security issues, containment and cost management and
storage of resources and expertise (Oliveira, Thomas and Espadanal 2014). My poster have
briefly discussed all these points and have provided a clear scenario where cloud computing
is standing in current business world. The poster has also presented a graph to demonstrate
the significant of the challenges one can face using cloud computing. A picture of a timeline
for cloud computing is also attached in the poster to demonstrate how it started with mobile
cloud in 2017 and how it has entered into 2020 with tablet cloud (Sadiku, Musa and Momoh
2014).

Conclusion
Hence, from the above analysis it is to conclude that cloud computing is a very
interesting subject for me. It is a broad topic and therefore, to demonstrate all about in a small
poster is quite difficult. It is very popular among the businesses as it can effectively reduce
the complexity and cost of operating and owning the networks and computers. It is highly
reliable and enables the access to documents and applications anywhere in the world through
the internet. . It provides 24*7 availability and performance oriented infrastructure. It enables
more flexible and reliable IT improvements and acquisition that might permit the adjustments
for the procedures that is dependent on the data sensitivity.
