Introduction
Cloud computing is the on-demand availability of computer system resources, especially data
storage and computing power, without direct active management by the user. The term is
generally used to describe data centers available to many users over the Internet1. The cloud
computing increases the efficiency of the organization it is because the user can assess it from
anywhere and it reduces the cost of the organization. Therefore in the UK, it is considered very
significant because it recovers all the data and important information of the small, medium as
well as large-sized enterprise2. It is also flexible due to the reason that it allow and support the
organization to make the selection of tools as well as user can also make choices regarding the
level and degree of control with the addition with the services given through cloud provider3.
In this research proposal “The impact of cloud computing on employee productivity” topic is
selected. It is because the estimation describes that the cloud computing in UK organization use
cloud computing the data and due to various other reason, through this overall activity of the
employees is involved around cloud computing with affects the productivity and outcomes of
employees4.
Research objectives
The proposal demonstrates that the purpose of the study is to understand the effects of cloud
computing on overall productivity as well as the efficiency of the employees. The research will
define in what aspects cloud computing will influence the operations of the employees who work
in an organization of the UK. To achieve the aim of another set of objectives are:-
 To understand “the role and importance of cloud computing in the UK”
 To evaluate “the security problem employees face from cloud computing in the UK"
 To investigate “the impact of cloud computing on employee productivity in the UK”
This research is important because through this information other organizations in the UK also
apply cloud computing so that outcomes of the human resource will be improved5. The research
will also define the issues which employees face through using cloud computing so that
strategies and policies will be developed to enhance the efficiency of the employees and

organization of the UK. Therefore, research will also define the role of cloud computing in the
corporation so that managers will overcome the security issues and maintain the data and
information of the organization which increases the effectiveness and help the employees to
make important decisions.
Literature review
Min Chen and Victor CM Leung conducted the study to understand the application and concept
of cloud computing in the organization1. Through analysis, the researchers describe that cloud
computing is the approach and network which provides the help of the demand and give the
availability of the computer system resources and information. It helps the organization to store
the data and it is available as well as adequate to different users through the internet. Therefore in
the present research, the key themes of the study are cloud computing and their application.
Cloud computing relay on sharing, distributing the information and resources to accomplish the
economies of scale2. The objective of the study is to investigate the application of cloud
computing in the organization of the UK. The data collection was done through a secondary
method that is by reviewing the literature, getting information from websites, blogs, etc. The
findings of the study describe that cloud computing is adopted in the UK because it provides
various options to the users such as " private cloud", "public cloud" as well as "hybrid cloud"
answers and solutions through different attributes and features3.
Hany Atlam, Robert Walters, and Gary Wills describe that cloud computing applied in the
organization of the UK because it provides a high capacity network to the users so that
information will be transferred quickly3. It also provides various other options such as store data
and adopts the hardware virtualization as well as does growth and development of cloud
computing. This study is important because in this researchers focus on the important themes
which include cloud computing and their significance for the employees who operate their
activities in UK companies.
Cloud computing provides various benefits to the employees in the organization and
accomplishes the objectives of the organization4. Therefore, researchers describe that the
majority of the organization in the UK adopt cloud computing due to various reasons. The data

the productivity of the workforce because it gives the facility of acquiring and managing the
infrastructure of the cloud5. Jeffrey Chang and Mark Johnston find that in UK cloud computing
support the employees to focus on the core competencies of the activities of the business and
build the capability and ability of the employees to the competitive skills among the employees
of the corporation of the UK. The estimation also revealed that it raises the collaboration that is

the human resource of the UK. The data collection is done through the primary method that is by
taking the interview from the respondents. The findings of the study revealed that m70% of the
corporation of the UK lose the important information of the organization which destroys the data
of the consumers. Therefore, these various other problems were faced by the organization which
includes that it becomes difficult for them to know the transaction and sales done with the

The cloud computing positively affects the employees it is because it enhances collaboration and
maintain ease in the organization it is due to the reason that employees find easiness in accessing
the data12. The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of cloud computing on the
efficiency of employees. The data collection was done through a secondary method that is
getting data from existing literature. The investigation of the study demonstrates that cloud
computing helps the employees to use the in-house resource in an optimum manner. Victor
Chang, Robert John Walters, and Gary B. Wills also demonstrate that in the UK it results in
getting a better result from the employees because of managing work in an efficient manner in
the UK16.

is to understand the effects of cloud computing on the productivity of the workforce. The

and become challenging for the human resource to develop the objective of cloud computing and
reduce the development and productivity of the organization.
Methodology
It is the approach that provides various guidelines to the researchers for researching in the proper
manner7. It is because this helps the researchers to research using various methodologies so that
accurate data is collected and adequate technique is used for analyzing the information. The
study will be conducted through secondary method, the present research proposal also shows that
while getting the information regarding the effect of cloud computing on the efficiency of the
workforce10. The study will be conducted in the UK, and some approaches and philosophies will
be used so that the objective of conducting the research will be achieved.
Research design
It is a framework that helps the researchers to select the proper technique to collect and analyze
the information so that complete information will be gathered. In this researchers also decide the

appropriate10. Therefore, the researchers used various elements so that other helpful aspects are
identified in the study. In the study I will be using “interpretivism philosophy", it is because the

for the employees of the UK.
Research approach
This describes the strategy and framework through which researchers can focus on critical data
to make the study more specific and accurate. In this researcher involved in identifying how
researchers can make plans for taking the important information about the subject matter20. In
the study "deductive research approach" will be adopted by me it is due to the reason that
through this I can focus on the key themes related to the study. The research main focuses will be
on the overall application and suitability of cloud computing in the organization and their effect
on the effectiveness of employees in the UK.
Research strategy
It is the overall framework and structure of conducting the study in this the researchers involved
in describing the complete methodologies which is used in different parts of the study that is
researchers segment the methodology and information15. The research proposal demonstrates
that researchers used the experimental design and critical analysis is done to collect the
information it is because the objective of conducting the research will be accomplished. Through
this researcher also focus on collecting information in a particular region that is in the present
study information will be performed in the UK.

Some ethical problems are involved while conducting the study that is it becomes difficult to
collect the information and to identify that it is ethically endorsed or not. It is because it is not
appropriate that all the information is correct and reliable. It is also difficult to maintain and
develop the guidelines and principles to keep the information confidential and no misuse is done
of the information which is provided and evaluated by the authors in their research. There is also
another major issue which I have to deal while conducting the research that is it is difficult to
follow all rules and regulation so that research is conduct ethically. The carefulness is the other
ethical issue that also affects the efficiency of subject matter that is an association between cloud
computing and employee efficiency. Therefore, to overcome these issues I could adopt the
strategy of openness in this accurate information that will be revealed in the research and
references will be provided so that one can understand the authorization of the information. The
principles will also develop for maintaining the reliability and correctness of the information
which includes honesty and integrity. The respect is also maintained so that data will be kept
confidential and focus will also be made on carefulness.
Risk Management
The study will also face other problems which include that it becomes difficult to select the
correct methodology it is because various aspects are involved in methodologies such as research
strategy, research philosophy. The other issues are analyzing the data so that one can understand
the objective and findings of the research. Therefore, to overcome the problem the focus will be

research. To solve the problem other sources such as blogs, other articles will also be studied it is
because it will support in maintaining transparency in the study.
Work Plan
The research will be conducted while considering the above format for this in the first step
research is designed in this topic of the research is selected. It is the major in this the objective of
conducting the research is developed. The second step methodology which is linked to the
objectives is designed and the proposal is written which describes the outline of conducting the
study. After that data collection, analysis is done to accomplish the purpose of performing the
research and the final report by covering all the points is developed.
