Summary of the article
The study written by (Kumar & Goudar, 2012), is all about cloud computing (CC) problems
and challenges which is the trending topic in this era. The author suggests that CC is having
the capability to reshape the whole IT industry as a digital revolution. Cloud computing will
be highly responsible for bringing a technological revolution however it is having many
considerable issues, barriers as well as challenges. Such barriers to CC need to be fixed as
soon as possible so as to evolve the whole ICT industry. This research study has aimed to
highlight issues and challenges of CC effectively. The paper has discussed two major
computing paradigms. The two CC paradigms which have been described are grid computing
and service-oriented computing while narrating on their relations with cloud computing.
Later then, this research article has successfully identified many challenges from the
perspective of CC adoption by the whole world. Furthermore, while describing
aforementioned details in relation to CC, this study has highlighted the cloud interoperability
problem which actually deserves further research as well as development (Kumar & Goudar,
2012).
Critique the methods used and the findings presented
The article is having a great understanding of CC and all possible applications of the concept
into different areas. Although study conducted by (Kumar & Goudar, 2012) has described
challenges and issues related to CC in detail, yet to some extent the study did not provide the
methods to address those identified challenges effectively. The article has found that CC
initiatives may affect the business firms into next 2-3 years however the article has not
anticipated the large-level entry and implementation all across the world with facts and
information (Kumar & Goudar, 2012). Moreover, the article has demonstrated detailed info
about the CC and its applications while illustrative explanation with more examples seemed
missing.

Opinion on the value of the study
This study on cloud computing is highly significant and useful for the target audience include
IT experts, IT professionals, learners, students, business owners and many more people who
are literate in the field of technology. It has been found that the usefulness of this study is
highly notable because all possible challenges of cloud computing adoption have been
discussed in detail (Kumar & Goudar, 2012). Most importantly, the authors have made this
research significantly valuable for their readers as issue of interoperability has been discussed
while offering possible solutions for it. Key issues in CC such as compliance, freedom, legal,
privacy, reliability, and long-term viability have been illustrated very well (Kumar & Goudar,
2012). This research study is valuable from the perspective of providing future scope of
research in the relevant field as the authors have narrated on some important applications of
CC include:
 CC offers a secure and dependable data-storage center (Kumar & Goudar, 2012).
 CC is able to realize data-sharing amid various equipment’s
 CC offers nearly infinite possibilities for the customers for using the internet
 CC never requires high-quality equipment for the users and thereby it is easier to use
In this way, while covering each and every aspect related to CC, the chosen research study
has found that Cloud Computing adoption, as well as initiatives, can seriously impact the
international or national enterprises in near future as it is having the potential to meaningfully
change the whole IT industry.
