AI Summary
This report provides a review of the journal article "Sharing and storage behavior via cloud computing: Security and privacy in research and practice" by Alsmadi and Prybutok (2018). The article explores cloud computing's impact on data sharing and storage, focusing on security and privacy in various data centers. The review highlights the authors' discussion of the paradox between academic cloud computing services (CCS) adoption and industry reports, emphasizing the role of performance expectancy, perceived privacy, perceived security, and peer influence in information sharing and storage behavior. It discusses the methodology, which involved surveying IT professionals, and the use of factor analysis, reliability tests, and regression analysis. The review also critiques the article's structure, including the number of references and the clarity of hypotheses, while acknowledging the study's contribution to understanding the implications of CCS in the industry and its potential for future research, especially in the MITS6001 Cloud Computing course.

Review of a journal article
Alsmadi, D., & Prybutok, V. (2018). Sharing and storage behavior via cloud computing:
Security and privacy in research and practice. Computers in Human Behavior, 85, 218-226.
This article has discussed the sharing and storage behavior in various data centers using
cloud computing. The authors have explained about the privacy and security of data using
various research papers. In addition, Cloud computing is widely used in most of the industries to
enhance their performance. Cloud Computing Services (CCS)make huge impact on sharing and
storage behavior. This article has described the paradox between academic CCS adoption and
industry reports. It has described that security and privacy are not affected by the adoption of
CCS. In this article, data were collected from 129 working professionals, which has worked in
giant IT companies. The authors have concerned about the security influences between CCS and
sharing and storage of data. The authors have included various terms to explain the concept of
sharing and storage behavior. There are many factors of behavior of data storage, which are
performance expectancy (PE), perceived privacy (PP), perceived security (PS), Peer Influence
(PI), and others. Information Sharing and Storage Behavior (ISSB) is an important aspect of the
industry, which has changed because of CCS. There are many benefits of the ISSB and CCS in
the industry. the authors have provided a proposed model in which describes the role of CCS in
ISSB. The authors have considered different hypotheses to describe various points of CCS.
There are many positive impacts of CCS and it reduces PS and PP of the user's data in the digital
world. In addition, authors have provided many hypotheses, which confuse the reader about the
main point, which is behavior of data storage and sharing. In addition, number of references is
more than required, which creates complexity in the research article. however, literature provides

deep knowledge of background of the topic, but it also confuses the reader about the main
direction of the article. the authors have survey in the methodology to describe the ISSB and
CCS relationship and its impact on the industry. furthermore, cloud computing services are
highly adopted by the industry to improve their performance and reduce risks and threats for the
industry. CCS makes huge impact on the working of the information systems and their respective
systems. In addition, response rate is 58%, which is good enough to know about the results. The
authors have used 13 factors for survey to analyze the results. Thus, CSS is better from different
points of view. In this article, factor analysis, reliability test, and descriptive statistics have been
used to describe various points of ISSB, which are related to the CCS. The authors have used
regression analysis to provide results about the ISSB of CCS. This article has found gap between
industrial reports and academic factors using survey and other methods. It has provided various
advantages to future research and provides various factors about the CCS.
