on storing of data and computing power (Chen & Leung, 2018). Therefore, cloud computing is
mainly focuses on allocating and sharing the resources for accomplishing the economies of scale.
In this report, “Impact of cloud computing on telecommunication industry, Australia”, this topic
is selected because cloud computing supports telecommunication sector to manage the data in
efficient manner (Atlam et al., 2018). This also helps the industry in adjusting the resources in
effective manner so that business can meet the demand of unpredictable situations and earn more
profits, such as Telstra earn about $26 billion revenue in the 2017.
Importance of topic
The selected topic that is “The impact of cloud computing on telecommunication industry” is
important because it provide the information regarding the efficiency of cloud computing
(Eberbach, 2017). It is estimated that cloud computing supports the telecom industry to reduce
cost and expenditure of the companies and maintain security by implementing better security
standards to protect the needs of the clients (Udagepola et al., 2015). Therefore, through this
business can organize various policies and strategies to apply cloud computing in the business.
Research question
The present research can provide knowledge about the outcomes which telecommunication
industry achieved by applying cloud computing technology. Therefore further research will focus
on answering some question so that overall aim by which the research is conducted is achieved-
 “Describe the data security issues faced by telecom industry of Australia?”
 “What is the effect of cloud computing on the performance of telecom industry in

 The research question will be mainly focused on providing information about the
application of the cloud computing on the effectiveness of telecom industry.
 The study reveals that there is positive effects of the cloud computing towards the overall
operations of telecom industry and also describe the information about the data security
problem in Telecommunication sector.
 The research question also focus on evaluating the role of cloud computing in solving
data security issues in telecom industry.
Process of solving the problem
 The problem will be solved through getting the overall background information about the
effect which cloud computing has on the activities performed by telecom sector. The
effectiveness maintained through following the series of steps while applying cloud
computing. In this area the resources and time which business required in applying cloud
computing information is also received.
 Further, literature review is done through differentiating the different themes and
identifying the different themes so that different opinions and perceptions of the authors
will be investigated.
 The process of the research question will also be solved by defining the methodologies
which can be used in describing the each information and supports in accomplishing the
overall research that is by getting the answer of the proposed research problem.
 The process will be continued in finding the analysis of the research and
recommendations is provided to using the cloud computing in telecommunication
industry. It also provides the information regarding the effects it has on the functions of
the business.
 These procedure supports in getting the answer of the research question and describe the
