2RESEARCH METHODS AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
1. Introduction
There is an increase in number of accidents on road that are rising the rate of road
accident. This would help to increase the human death rate that are cause due to accidents. There
is an increase in the use of sensors and other devices of information technology that are being
used by the humans in handling a car systems. These systems are to be handled properly to avoid
accidents on road (Rahman, Cahyani and Choo 2017). This research deals with different cloud
computing devices that are to be used in mitigating the car accidents on roads.

2. Aim
The aim of this research is to implement car accidents handling system with the help of
cloud computing. The system will send electronic notification to the concerned team so that they
get to know about the car accidents and help them accordingly. Cloud computing plays a
significant role to alert the rescue team about the accidents that has taken place and required
team is sent to the spot to rescue.
2. Background, Motivation and Relevance
2.1 Background
The solution of cloud computing are very critical for life systems and that would help to
increase facilities that are included in the car systems. Development of cloud computing devices
would help the make the life of persons easier and those devices will increase the efficiency of
using the information technology in the daily life of humans. Involvement of cloud computing
has help the car producers to minimize the complexity of the cars and helped to enhance the
security of the persons travelling in the car (Rahman, Kessler and Choo 2017). This research
intends to develop a car accident handling system that is connected with cloud computing and
this application would help to reduce the death rate of person because of car accidents.
2.2 Literature Review
With the increase number of vehicles, there is increase number of road accidents that
takes place each year. Safety of the human lives have been decreased due to increased number of
population (Singhal and Tomar 2016). Most of the accidents on roads takes place due to over
speeding. Proper solution is needed to safe human lives from car accidents.

4RESEARCH METHODS AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
As per the researchers Raju and Geethakumari (2016), there are two main factors which
are responsible for car accidents. One is heavy traffic and the seconds is rash driving. The drivers
those are reckless has the habit of drinking and then driving which results of road accidents. So,
making the use of cloud computing in proper way, accidents can be resolved. Improvement in
the field of Information technology, has helped to increase the effective use of cloud computing.
This would help them to implement cloud computing in many sector of life and that has improve
the lifestyle of the people too.
The mobile based application that is proposed by Balushi, Yousif and Al-Shezawi (2017)
includes a series of activities that are to be followed. In the first phase, when the accidents
happen, the sensors will upload the data in the cloud so that others get to know about the place of
accidents, the concerned team will have a notification on their mobile application from the cloud
stating the time and place of the accident. Tis would help them to rescue the victims from the
accident zone and that could help them to save the life of the people.
Gargees et al. (2016) said that for handling of accidents, many resources are needed to
handle the accident. When there is accident, quick as well as fast actions are to be taken that are
actually needed to handle the injured or the victims in the cars. So, to handle car accidents,
communication should be established faster and for that cloud computing offers a great
advantage. Cloud computing in car accident handling systems helps in accessing quick
processing power, provides unlimited storage and helps to share the information easily to all
concerned people. All these available advantages of cloud computing has enabled the researchers
to develop a system that will be capable of handling accidents and save the life of the people.

5RESEARCH METHODS AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
2.3 Motivation
The road accidents are occupying very large number of proportion. This has attracted
researchers to think about the road accidents as because the live of the people are associated with
accidents. Car is the critical system and includes operating engine that mainly requires technical
expertise (Tsakalidis et al. 2019). As with the increase in number of vehicles the total number of
accidents are also being increased. So, implementing cloud computing technology in an
application of car accidents handling can stop car accidents saving the lives of the people.
The increasing number of cars, increased drivers and increased traffic has affected the
community, moral society and economics negatively. There are many studies that have state that
using of information technology has become necessary to lessen the road accidents.
Implementing modern methods for data analysis helps to minimize the loss of human lives and
also helps to lessen the economic losses that are caused due to road accidents. There are many
laws and regulation to control the road accidents. So, there is a need to develop an application
that could help to reduce the road accidents (Jaatun et al. 2017). The motivation of this research
study is to provide an idea of developing car accident handling systems that could help to reduce
the road accidents. The application would detect the place of accidents and would able to pass
the message or notify the required team so that they can save the life of the people having an
accident. This would help to reduce the death rates of the people who die because of not getting
service after the accidents.
2.4 Related Work
In most of the cars that are manufactured today, there are smart devices like key tracker,
bluetooth adapter, car tracker, tire safety monitor and many others. All these devices are
connected with cars making it more powerful for sensing, communicating and for processing the

capabilities of the devices. Most of the studies also shows that a large number of people dies
because they do not get proper services at the time of accidents. Due to no active service, the
victims of the accidents dies on the spot.
Authors Balushi, Yousif and Al-Shezawi (2017) have explained that there are cooperative
tracking methods having a built-in sensor to track the car where it is leading. This would help to
track the car and provide help if necessary. For monitoring the road traffic, studies also shows
that there are traffic control system that are based on the cloud computing and latest technologies
and those helps to control the traffic congestion on road. As per the authors, there are different
computing techniques that are actually based on modelling scheme and also helps to decode the
scheme for estimating the travel time and the simulation results that can validate the performance
of the tracking system.
2.5 Relevance
The researchers Jaatun et al. (2017) have stated that there is a need of developing mobile
application that would be connected with cloud computing to serve the victims of accidents. The
proposed mobile application that would be described in this section will help to avoid the
accidents with the help of cloud computing. When accident happens, the sensors will upload the
accident in the cloud and the rescuers team will be notified with the location of accident. This
would help the rescuers to save the life of the people and that would also reduce the number of
death in road accidents.
