Report
AI Summary
This report provides an overview of cloud computing topologies, including public, private, and hybrid cloud models. It delves into the challenges associated with implementing and managing these topologies, such as making the correct choices, loss of control, lack of executive support, and vendor transparency. The report also examines the differences between open, private, and hybrid cloud environments, highlighting their respective advantages and disadvantages. It offers recommendations, advocating for the hybrid approach as the most effective strategy, combining the benefits of both public and private clouds to provide cost savings, control, and security. The report references several sources to support its findings and analysis.

1. Cloud Computing Topologies
The Cloud computing is an emerging area that affect the applications, network services and
IT infrastructure. The cloud computing is a model for enabling the on-demand and convenient
network access for shared a pool of computing resource and it used to release the effort of
minimal management. Basically the cloud computing consumers are frustrated with the lack of
flexibility and interoperability and it able to host the cloud computing workloads across either
public, private and hybrid clouds and these are need to migrate the cloud workloads across cloud
instantiations as implemented by differing the vendor technologies. The flexibility has the ability
to adapt to changing the circumstances. It meets the business and mission goals and objectives in
cloud environment. The interoperability has the ability for disparate system and organizations to
work together. It also has ability to exchange and interpret the information and data. It has ability
to shift workloads from one cloud to another. Cloud computing topologies have various types
such as public, private and hybrid cloud (Ernst, 2018). The public cloud is one of the most cost
effective and common forms of cloud and it hosting the cloud server publicly. The private cloud
is divided into two types such as managed private cloud and dedicated private cloud. The
dedicated private cloud is used to host user entire server on virtual environments and machines
that reside on hardware that are controlled and owned by the user and administrator. It is most
expensive type of cloud computing infrastructure. Generally, the managed private cloud has the
rights to control and own the all of cloud hardware and it basically hosted at an external side that
will be managed by a third party. The hybrid cloud is used to provide access to the cost saving
benefits of public cloud computing. It offers the control and security of a private cloud (Rudo,
2018).
2. Challenges in Implementing and Managing Cloud Topologies
The cloud computing challenges are come in all shapes, severities and size depending on the
organization. To implement and managing the cloud computing, it has various challenges such as
Making the correct choice
The cloud computing has three services such as SaaS, PaaS and IaaS. These services
are used to meet the business requirement and cloud strategy. Generally, the cloud strategy
begins with the business strategy to determine the risk and rewards of various choices.

Loss of control
The loss of control is the tough letting go in cloud environment. It is used to
entrusting the third party to be a reliable, honest and responsible business partner. It can be
accomplishing the operational responsibility ("Top Five Challenges Of Cloud Computing",
2018).
Lack of executive support
The lack of executive support is a very difficult challenges in cloud computing. It
generally comes down to doubt, uncertainty and fear. It builds and aligns the organizational
business proposal with major corporate campaigns.
Availability and Reliability
The reliability, availability and security are a service provider issues. It requires a
commitment to best practices and redundant architecture, top flight software and hardware,
experience technicians and network products ("Top Ten Challenges of Cloud Implementation
- Peak 10", 2018).
Lack of knowledge, expertise and skills
Generally, many organization are may not have required resources and tools to monitor,
implement and manage the cloud computing services and solutions. So, cloud infrastructure
requires the more applications and operations. To reduce these issues to select the appropriate
service provider that will definitely help the ease the transition.
Vendor Transparency
The vendor transparency is divulging the competitively sensitive operational
information and trade secrets. The service providers are must be open about it methods and
process for delivering on its SLA (Cooney, 2018).
Performance and Bandwidth cost
Generally, business can save the money on the system acquisitions, maintenance
and management but it spend more money for the band width because the bandwidth cost
can be highest for the applications of data intensive. It delivering and receiving the
complex and intensive data across the network by requires the sufficient network to stave
off the application time and latency.

Integration with existing Infrastructure
The interaction with existing infrastructure is used to maximizing the cloud
service values by introducing the discreet cloud services into an organization.
Security and Compliance
The compliance and security is focus on the network service provider because it has
great demand. ("Public and Private Clouds Explained", 2018).
Service Quality
In business, the service quality is one of most significant factors and it used to
moving their business application to the cloud.
3. Differences between open, private, and hybrid cloud topologies
The cloud computing is used to enables the sharing of resources by using various ways that
are used to simplifies the infrastructure planning. IT uses the cloud computing tool and
technology resource to connect the public and private network and it is used to provide the
scalable infrastructure for file storage, data and application. The cloud Computing types are
discussed in below ("Strategic Comparison of Public Cloud versus Hybrid Cloud - Wikibon
Research", 2018).
Public clouds
The public clouds are operated and owned by third party service providers. It
economically provides the customer benefits of scale. It provides the client with on-demand
scalability and seamless.
Private Clouds
The individual enterprises are using the private clouds because it builds in exclusively
and it is used to allow a firm to host the applications in the cloud environment. It also used to
addressing the data security and control concerns.
Hybrid Clouds
The hybrid cloud is used to combine the advantages of both public and private cloud
models ("Six Common Challenges of Cloud Implementations", 2018).

4. Recommendation
Recommend that, the best cloud computing techniques is hybrid approach. It is most
effective approach compared to other types. The hybrid approach is used to combine the
advantages of both private and public clouds. It is used to provide access to the cost saving
benefits of public cloud computing. It offers the control and security of a private cloud.
