The article is researched upon the most trending concept of cloud computing. To do so, the
article written by (Kuyoro et al., 2011) has described cloud-computing security challenges as
well as issues in detail after conducting a critical analysis. The research study suggests that
Cloud Computing (CC) can be seen as a group of IT-services that are usually delivered to a
consumer all across a network. These IT services are offered on a hired basis along with the
capability to scale up as well as down the service needs. The study suggests that CC services
are nowadays delivered from a third-party supplier, who owns IT infrastructure.
The article summarizes the most important advantages of CC include scalability, flexibility,
resilience, efficiency as well as outsourcing non-core activities. In addition to that CC has
been seen offering an innovative business-model for the contemporary firms for adopting IT
services in the absence of upfront investment. The key issue mentioned by the writer of the
article (Kuyoro et al., 2011) is that modern organizations are sluggish in accepting CC
because of the security issues as well as challenges associated with it. However, many of the
potential advantages of cloud computing has been described by the selected research study. In

missing in this study on cloud computing (Kuyoro et al., 2011).
Opinions on value of the research study
There are some opinions of the writer of this review paper on the value of the study on cloud
computing’s security, issues and challenges. In this context, the exploration provided in this
study is greatly helpful for the millennial generation and IT professionals as the author have
attempted to cover every aspect of the trending IT topic while highlighting its extensive
advantages. Apart from this, security problems in CC have been expressed in an illustrative
way while including public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud (Kuyoro et al., 2011).
Furthermore, cloud security could have been improved because of the factors like
centralization of data as well as enhanced security-focused resources. Contrary, some issues
related to CC persist about loss of control all over specific sensitive data and the lack of
security for stored kernels trusted to cloud-providers. The study suggested that when those
cloud-providers could not perform efficient jobs while securing their own environments, then
the users of CC could be in trouble. In this way, measuring the quality of cloud-providers’
strategy to cloud-security is seemed quite difficult as many of the cloud-providers will not
expose their infrastructure to their users (Kuyoro et al., 2011).
In this article (Kuyoro et al., 2011), a model named as cloud deployment model has been
explained with the help of PAAS, SAAS, and IAAS. This figure is showing the significance

of CC with the help of governance, data protection, IS needs, risk assessment, as well as
policies and guidelines. In this context, the positive aspect of this model is that it is covering
several linked models to CC, which is helpful to study cloud-computing in-depth effectively.
Besides, the study has talked over different challenges raised while using CC such as costing,
security, service-level agreement, charging, and most importantly cloud interoperability
issue, however mitigating strategies or methods for these aforementioned issues are missing
to some extent. For instance, CC service-delivery models could have been more illustrated
through theoretical or graphical representation. Moreover, the journal article is not containing
more solutions or addressing strategies in response to cloud computing issues and challenges
which would be helpful for the target readers and audience of this study.
