Introduction
The main idea in this project is to define and design a plan that will be used in implementing
a single platform that will be used to support very huge capacity of primary data and being
generated in a platform that is internal and that is existing in the cloud.
Project
The board of directors of the TIL need an analysis that is of high level and an IT solution that
should be recommended. The urge of such IT solution have come up with other needs like a
storage dB to be used for the storage of data.

Objective of the Project
The idea behind performing this study about the application is increasing the database size on
all single platforms so that it can support large volumes of primary data as well as being
generated in a platform that is internally and exist in the cloud.

The proposed application is used for increasing and storing the big data in a single place and

Problem Definition
The problems that we face in most cases are directly related to lack of data storage which
may lead to poor data management, data security compromised, reduction of the work-
efficiency which may make it impossible in finding the necessary info, deletion of data that is
precious and old so that we get space to store the new data, it related to loss of data that may
cause unplanned interruptions in the network and hardware and the software failures as well
as the malware attacking computers. When we lose files in a computer we may take hours or
even weeks in recovering it which may lead to creation of idle time to the individual
responsible. When the info or data is lost because of our own negligence then it may result to
disclosure of information confidentiality. A fines of up to £ 500,000 can be imposed to the
company by the office of Info commissioner for violating the “act of data protection” when
a customer info or the records of the employee are compromised. Some financial
repercussions might be aggravated if the individuals affected decide to take legal actions
against such activities. The loyalty of the customer is blurred when there is an event of data
loss especially in situations where the customer data has been comprised. Data loss has been

affected in series of department of economic and the non-financial effects on a given
company. The above can lead to failure of the business permanently which is the worst
scenario ever to happen to an ongoing business.

TEST CRITERIA
Tech insurance company is need of a cloud-based software platform so that it can be to use
for protecting its highly sensitive data in vast amount of data, provide the control that is

extreme in user accessing the information and be easy when extracting the information and
showing the statistics. This make it easy to be accessed on any intranet and making to have
no downtime. Biggest plan is having an additional configurations of the QOS and very
highest level of the security in storage for all data to be stored. It is expected in keeping all its
esteemed storage of about 100 terabytes that are required in growing between 50 and 100
percent per year having a retention of data for 5 yrs especially in case for personal data, 10
yrs for data of vehicles and much 20 yrs of the data for home.
There are requirements which are extreme for this cloud storage which may require a lot of
options when cloud-storage companies are concerned. The test for the criteria is ensuring that
they comply with Tech expectations and the confirmation is on the few companies. This has
left us in deciding whether to choose the dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive and the Google Drive.
Data security is the most vital and necessary factor when deciding the place to store the
confidential data. Before we choose any storage company we must do an analysis for each
platform of the cloud and analyzing all flaws of the security on data that were lost previously.
ONEDRIVE
Before we get started it is good to know that OneDrive is a Microsoft package which is an
offline service suite that was released on August 1 2007. OneDrive is also known as a port on
the back of Ms. Windows’s system. This port acts as an online backup where we can store
information on ones account with the Microsoft because it is in all cases we are exposed for
security risks because of the system weaknesses such as updates on the window which might
be sent without one recognizing. OneDrive offers provision for a versions of intranet for the
s/w that will be used only on machines locally and will not offer any QOS functions, as any
user can access the unit in the network if he has the logins credentials.
DROPBOX
Dropbox is a cloud-based platform storage kind of a program offering provisions to large
volume of data in terabytes thus making it to be so competitive when price is concerned but

with its advanced QOS system it is able when it comes to restricting the access of the MAC
address of all computers with the true key of WPA passwords as it automatically generated
itself after every 30 seconds and this makes it to bring to an urge of transporting it in person
by a small device.

Detailed Breakdown
In running an efficient dB structure, we may need an increased speed when
installing the PCs, server storage and desks for a particular task. When we need
large space this may push us in keeping the hardware so that we can maintain the
infrastructure. There are many ways through which we can improve the
efficiency of the system where we can use the national broadband networking
places with current cable in fiber optic places. This has been known for
improving the speed and the bandwidth of the current Db making it to increase
the speeds when one want to upload and download data to and from the Db. The
other point in is that the network speed is constant and have less downtime .
In configuring a communication channel one will need the telecommunication devices
mentioned like the routers, switches, etc. Here the users will have the rights and privileges
that the admin will require for them to access the data. The users with no privileges will have
no access in any way. The RAP software will be used in provision of security 24/7.
In this proposal we have given a solution as the use of GOOGLE DRIVE as the memory in
the cloud. The idea behind google drive selection is because they are perfectly fit as they
have all major factors by offering a provision of extreme data security measures. The google
drive disks offers provisions of storage space that is unlimited. The only people who can
access data and store data in Google drive are only the privileged users. It will be only
through the software that we are guaranteed a security of high level when uploading and
downloading data. The access of data will be made possible if office data cannot be accessed
when we are home.
In running an efficient Db system we will need a network that is fast with large storage and
hence being secure in software storage. . Google Drive have been known for perfectly
meeting the user needs. Google Drive has been known for integrating the security of the
system for protection levels with space that is unlimited.

Google is not that competitive in terms of price but it has so many advantages over its
competitors. Google offers provision for a security that is extreme buy involving the two
factors of authentication. On the other hand Google application authentication is similar to
True Key WPA that is configured to having the 3-part authentication services especially
before we have access to all files. Google has been known for offering provision of multiple
backup copies for the data in ensuring that there is no loss of data in anytime.
Google also has been known for guaranteeing that there will be no downtime that
is not planned. When there is some event where there are unforeseen downtime

In implementing the proposed system we need to use a procedural methodology which will
involve concurrently use of the new and old system at the same time. This is because of the
data migrations and the training of the personnel needed for the changes in the new system.
The other area is the customer service training which affects customers in many ways. This
training and teachings will be used in provisions of trainings to people in groups who will
have that knowledge in new system with no issues and hence providing a lot of support and
workshops as well as well the on-site assistance.
