ASSIGNMENT 4: IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY
In order to overcome with the existing problem regarding their IT management server
and system, company need to move on with the latest and advanced technologies. With the help
of adopting the best suitable option company can easily overcome with their existing server
issues (Doddavula, Agrawal and Saxena, 2013). For the same, they need to adopt the best
suitable option as there are various technologies available in the market. In this concern, there
are various types of cloud services available in the market among which company need to select
the best option.
Three different strategies of implementation
XYZ is really moving to a cloud storage strategy so that they can develop best distributed
environment. There are various strategies on the basis of which they can procure a cloud option
which are as follows:
1. Plan early to extract the full benefit of cloud
2. Avoid overly prescriptive requirements
3. Specify commercial item terms
4. Understand different cloud models
5. Separate cloud infrastructure from managed services
6. Incorporate a utility pricing model
7. Leverage third party accreditations for security, privacy and auditing
8. Design cloud evaluation criteria
By the way of adopting best cloud computing Strategy Company can easily access the
flexible and low cost resources. Moreover, it also helps them in storing all the information and
files related to tourism, recruitment, health professional access etc. over the cloud (Tudoran and
et.al, 2016 May). The data run on the cloud network can be easily accessed at anywhere, anytime
by anyone. With the help of this, workers can easily acquire any type of information anytime. In
addition to this, cloud storage also keeps back-up of files which are highly important for any
business.
Recommendation for best suitable and optimal one strategy

Recommendation for best suitable and optimal one strategy
Among all the above presented options creating a private cloud environment is one of the
best suitable strategies (Walters, 2013). This strategy is regarded as a cost savings strategy and

also covers scalability as well as self-service. However, it is highly essential for analyst to go
through the careful and appropriate planning for implementing private cloud without any risks.
In addition to this, it can be regarded that performance of private cloud infrastructure is very
good due to which company can adopt this as it provides most secure on site premises. Private
cloud storage option can also be define as an internal cloud storage which basically runs on a
dedicated infrastructure in the data center (Raj and et.al, 2015). With the help of this option,
company may deliver standard set of services that are controlled by particular premises. Further,
there are several benefits associated with the use of this strategy as all information can easily
keep safe and secure as it is having self-hosted private clod as well as private cloud appliances.
Implementation strategy as to the cost aspects
By the way of incorporating private cloud Network Company can easily remove the need
for large investments in hardware.
Private cloud storage option
In order to implement this storage, it is important to understand various stages which of
cloud maturity model. In this context, following are the steps which should be considered:
Assessment: This is the first step in setting private cloud. According to this step,
organization assesses their existing infrastructure with relation to its IT portfolio. Based on IT
assets benchmark is decided. It includes scalability, performance and availability. This is done in
order to have a proper cost benefit. In order to install private cloud, it is important to list out the
areas in which they need to focus on (Bond, 2015). This enables to set the cost which will be
incurred by the organization. In addition to this, return on investment should be determined so as
to develop a proper strategy which can be adopted by the firm. In this way, firm will be able to
make proper division in their expenses which they have to incur in setting up private cloud.
Consolidation: It is important that proper consolidation of IT budget and infrastructure
should be developed. For example if any organization has many data centres, then it has the
opportunity of discarding some of them (Hintsch and et.al, 2015). In such situation, firm needs to
consolidate their data inside a central location so that cater could be provided to the entire region.
Further, it is important that the central data should have cloud properties. This is because it
enables to robust the data of catering at different regions. The ultimate aim of private cloud is to
store all the information at one place and to deliver the collected information to all the regions
which are included in the business operation of the organization.

Virtualisation: Virtualisation of IT infrastructure is very important after consolidation of
IT assets. It enables to optimize consolidated infrastructure. With this respect, hardware sizing is
mainly done with an aim to review to use of that particular hardware. It is important that the firm
determine the extent to which the hardware is underused (Doddavula, Agrawal and Saxena,
2013). For example, during the assignment, it has been found that the overall power of the
computer power is utilized, and then different strategies will be adopted with the help of which
remaining 90% can be used effectively. For any organization it is important that they utilize the
entire all their power so that better services can be provided (Iyoob, Zarifoglu and Dieker, 2013).
With this respect, different visualization solution like VMware hypervisor is very helpful. In this
way firm can make use of their IT infrastructure on the way to set up private cloud.
Migration: After data centre consolidated and visualization application standardization is
considered. From non-functional and functional perspective application are assessed. In this
context, migration to cloud is rejected or selected. With this respect, architecture standardization
can be determined as one of the important factor (Khurana, 2014). It includes reference of
standard architecture which is used to compare with other application architecture. Further it also
enables to establish gap among current application architecture and application architecture
IT assets. It enables to optimize consolidated infrastructure. With this respect, hardware sizing is

standard architecture which is used to compare with other application architecture. Further it also
enables to establish gap among current application architecture and application architecture

standardization. It is important to establish anomalies as it enables to modify the application
according to requirement and it is referred to cloud architecture. Another step which falls under
migration is application performance. Under cloud virtualisation, it is important that it have
certain quality to be maintained or expected for the application. For example, if a file is accessed
with the help of specific path or URL (Chopra, Mungi and Chopra, 2013). In such cases there are
no specific location for the as these chances that the file may get lost in case the machine goes
down. One cannot accept the application to be accessed with the help of uniform path as the
same file can be accessed with the help of different places in cloud. In this context, the
application should be modified so that file reaches a specific location.
Automation: This is the final step in setting up private cloud. Under this self-
provisioning is included in application (Nazir, 2015). In case, during its run if load increases
unexpectedly on an application, then it would demand for a traditional environment regarding
new server of procurement. Other application like connection to network, installing application,
etc. will help in reducing the load. In addition to this, private clouding should have self-scaling
capacity so as to form virtual machine. Further, it should be done according to the request made.
Future benefits of incorporating best cloud storage option for XYZ Inc. Enhanced decision making: As all the provided information is stored at one source. It
becomes very easy to access the data. Further, it also enables to make appropriate
decision regarding the business operation of the organization (Schrödl and Bensch,
2013). Further there are many areas in which management has to make decision so that
they will be able to achieve their organizational goals and objectives. For example, in
order to analyse the employee performance, the data will be used and analysed through
which they will be able to provide them with appropriate solution with the help of which
their performance can be improved.
Usability: In all the cloud storage, services can be effectively reviewed on the folders like
PC's and Mac's. This type of services allows dropping and dragging the files among local
storage and cloud storage (Joshi,Yesha and Finin, 2014). Disaster recovery: It is recommended that data collected in business should have
emergency backup so that data may not get lost in case the power goes off. However,
cloud storage is very helpful in protecting the data as the organization do not have to
worry of losing the data (Srivastava and Verma, 2015). It already has a recovery backup

XYZ organization required lot of maintenance and they were facing many cases in which
they lost their data (Iyoob, Zarifoglu and Dieker, 2013). However, cloud storage enabled
them to use save the data at one place and also reduced the cost which they incurred
earlier. Data can be moved easily: All the information which are protected in the cloud storage
can be easily transferred whenever they want. In doing so no data is lost and firm can be
safe of their data. Security: The cloud storage is very save (Doddavula, Agrawal and Saxena, 2013). It is
password protected and it can only be used by the person who is authorized and it cannot
be used by anyone else. Greater degree of horizontal scalability: This is another most effective benefit which
company can attain by the way of developing private cloud Storage (Jones, 2015).
Through this, they can easily share and store any type of information situated in different
departments.

2015). Further, several antivirus can be installed in the different computers so that whole
software in order to protect them from any type of malware and external attacks and threats. By
installing various antiviruses each individual within XYZ can easily can keep their system
protected. It helps them in keeping all their information and personal data safe. It also helps
company in maintaining data continuity and availability as per the specific requirements of
company.
Workforce capability and capacity assessment to meet the implementation requirements
Workforce capability can be explained as an organizations ability to accomplish its work
process through the knowledge, skills and competencies of its people. For the same, XYZ need
to build and sustain relationships with their customers to innovate and transition to new
technologies to develop new products and work processes (Doddavula, Agrawal and Saxena,
2013). In this regards, they need to assess their capacity to accomplish their work and to meet
changing business, market, and regulatory demands. Here, XYZ requires overcoming with the
current issues faced by them due to their existing IT server. For the same, they need to develop a
plan for their capacity assessment and make appropriate strategies for implementing this in a
better way (Iyoob, Zarifoglu and Dieker, 2013). In order to meet out with all the specifications
and requirements of the implementation of Private Cloud one of the most common requirements
of company is to recruit best suitable IT candidates.
