The CMA CGM has always tried to maintain the safety and security of the gods and
articles that are being shipped. However, currently the organization is faced with a certain
number of problems, which are mostly related to the human resource strategies and planning.
Firstly, since the organization ships though the water bodies, therefore, there is a huge
environmental issue that the organization has to consider. There are issue related to the
spilling of the oil while shipping, spilling of the articles or goods during the time of shipping,
harm to the planktons and marine creatures (Mohamed and Ducruet. 2016). Therefore, the
organization must provide certain policies and guidelines, to refrain from these aspects. At
the same time the organization is also facing issues with managing the large employee base.
The organization has to manage through the 1110,000 employees for which they need an
excellent communication structure, and the organization lacks this, at some level. Along with
that, in the maritime shipping industry all of the workers must have proper and core ideas
about the water routes and the navigation processes, and also must have an idea of the routes
that are followed by the organization itself (Xu and Cariou. 2013). Hence the organization
must plan for training processes and programs for the employees. These all must be enlisted
into the human resource management strategies for the organization.
However presently, the organization is increasingly facing problems regarding the
training issues among the employees as well as problems regarding the employee
involvement and employee management in the business conducts.
