TASK -2 REFLECTIVE REPORT
AC 2.1 Justification of selection of strategies that is used to meet needs of individual learners
There are the specific learners in the case study named as Cassie, Aran and Lissa that
have different needs. Such as Cassie is 36 years old and lone parent having three children that is
highly concerned about its attendees in the programme. There are various challenges that she is
facing in its life such as it has lost her mother that has make her addicted to alcoholic, feeling
depressed thus all these have impact on its learning ability related to course. So she needs
support as well as care, motivate to do daily exercise as well as meditation in order to stay clam.
It will contribute in retaining useful information for longer time and reducing the stress level
that it is suffering from its daily life challenges (Batterink and Paller, 2017). Another strategies is
that she needs to be aware to avoid intake of alcohol so that it can easily learn as she has
academic ability to study the program. As alcohol is not solution of problem or resolve key issue,
challenges that are faced in personal life so it need to avoid the same to pursue the learning.
Moreover, Cassie is suffering from Dyslexia so specific educational techniques and approaches
need to be used so that it can easily learn. Likewise, as per my point of view, the it teachers,
coach and mentor needs to involve vision, touch and hearing in order to improve reading skills.
Therefore use of sense will contribute in enhancing learning capabilities of Cassie thereby it can
achieve the programme in better manner.
The above study also helps me in understanding another individual learner named as

multi-agency to provide better supports such as language support, counseling, resources for
different learning needs and opportunities for development of numeracy skills (Schindler and
et.al., 2021). Such as:
Language support: It is the first and foremost resources that need to be provided to all
individual learners as all of them Cassie, Lissa and Aran belong to different countries. Such as
Cassie is from White british, Aran from Asian and lissa is African Caribbean, so they need to be

order to get knowledge (Ifenthaler, 2017). Furthermore, there are various factors that influence
referral process Such as:
Availability of qualified consultants: The first factors that influence referral process is
availability of qualified consultant in the external environment so that individual learners can get
appropriate assistance. More number of qualified consultant contribute in referring specific one
to particular individual.
Individual learner characteristics: Another factors that impact on referral process is the
characteristic of individual learners as well as it needs so that it can easily treated. Likewise
Cassie is suffering from depression and addicted to alcohol so it needs assistance of individual
that has ability to reduce its depression and motivate her to learn.

Learning needs of individual: Moreover, the referral process is affected by learning needs of
specific individual such as three individual present in the above case study have different needs
and wants. So on the basis of their needs that is that wants to learn they are refereed so that their
needs can be fulfilled.
AC. 4.1 To review the process involved in one to one coaching, mentoring and teaching in
relation to emotional, intellectual and social benefits for students
It can be reviewed from above study that in one to one coaching there are various process
involved such as identification of goals, explore the area of opportunities, finally identified
alternative method to coach (Cimermanová, 2018). At last monitoring and tracking overall

that could be used so that individual can learn. Such as coach provide emotional supports,
intellectual and social benefits to students by making use of alternative method.
Monitoring and tracking overall performance: It is the last process that has been followed by
coach in which it monitor and track overall performance of individual. On the basis of
performance it provide various benefits to students (Churnia and Neviyarni, 2021).
On the other hand, mentoring also perform numerous function that resulted in providing
emotional, intellectual and social benefits to students.
Understand the requirement for mentee: Mentor by identifying needs of mentee is able to
provide emotional, intellectual and social benefits so that it can effectively learn.
Help mentee in shaping their goals: The second process followed by mentor is shaping goals
of mentee like they remain emotional happy and satisfied, gain social benefits and intellectual
knowledge.
Keep mentee accountable: Another key functions performed by mentor is that it should ensure
that mentee must be accountable for all its duties, actions etc. Mentor by teaching mentee as per

has provided its knowledge, experience to guide the mentee so that it can easily learn and grow.
So, it is stage at which mentor by providing proper guidance is able to provide necessary benefits
to mentee in terms of social, intellectual and emotional benefits (Alghamdy, 2019).
On contrary note, teaching is an complex process which include planning,
implementation, evaluation and revision so that student can be taught or learn new things for its
growth and development. Moreover, teacher is responsible for creating healthy environment by
ensuring mutual trust and respect between students so that they are motivated to learn new things
quickly and easily (Nijakowska, Tsagari and Spanoudis, 2020). It can also be reviewed from
above analysis that process involved in teaching also lead in offering emotional, intellectual and
social benefits to students such as Aran, Cassie and Lissa. So the way teaching contribute in
providing all such benefits can be stated as follows:
Planning: It is first action taken by teacher in order to provide knowledge to its students as it
plan the way lesson needs to be taught to them so that their knowledge can be enhanced. So, it is
responsible for designing particular course that need to be taught to individual in relation to its
emotional, social and intellectual.
Assessment: The teacher incorporate second action in which it regularly assess student
performance, capabilities and skills so on that basis it can be provided necessary education for
higher success. It helps them whether the teacher is able to teach different students such as Aran,
Cassie and Lissa in their manner or not. In another words, they are able to understand whatever
has been taught by the teachers and learn the same (Oancea, 2020). Thereby the teacher by
assessing whether the student are able to understand or not is able to plan better action that could
improve the learning of students and provide them social, emotional and intellectual benefits.
