INTRODUCTION
Self assessment is the powerful tool to analyse the strengths and weaknesses an
individual has in its skill set. Personal reflection or self reflection writing is a very complex
process takes significant amount to think about, evaluate about and reflect those thoughts into the
words that will be representing our thoughts, behaviour and attitude. Basically a personal
reflection is the overall evaluation of the performance during the particular role. The present
essay is the personal reflection of my skills as a coach for which I have designed the coaching
assessment tool. The essay also contains a SWOT analysis of my skills and a PDP for my
development area.

The purpose of this coaching self assessment form is to assist my learning about being a
successful coach which will help me in creating a self progress development plan and to identify
my coaching strengths and weaknesses which will help me in setting my learning goals as per the
lower score areas.

Team working skills are my strength as a coach as was able to manage my team and
coordinate with each and every individual effectively and efficiently. With the coaching
self assessment tool it was clearly analysed that in my coaching format orientation team
working was reflected as my priority and also this reflected that managing team
efficiently is my major strength. As a coach I was highly comfortable and flexible in
working with team and also have good understanding about managing the other team
members.
Another strength that I noticed is my time management skills. Even in the Coaching self
assessment tool the time management factor was given the highest score as each and
every team member believes that as a coach I was always punctual in each session and
also have a deeper understanding about making the time schedules for the team members.
Team management is one of the skills that I always keep up graded so that I did not miss
any deadlines of the projects which can downfall the success of any project. This
strength helps me in prioritising my tasks properly.
Weaknesses
Leadership skill is my major weakness that is observed as a coach. I was not able to guide
and control the behaviour of my team members that was distracting them from direction
towards achieving the goals of the project. I have lack of knowledge about the various
kinds of leadership styles that coach must implement in its coaching practice and also
make that team members learn about them in order to achieve the projects effectively and
efficiently.
As a coach I also lack in communication skill. By observing the coaching self assessment
tools that are filled up by the team members sates that I lack in interaction with the other
member such as not taking regular feedbacks regarding their performance and my own
performance, asking them about that issues in working on project and disputes with other
team members.

therefore this is a threat as due to these factors team members does not understand each
