Introduction
This is a short report regarding the information gathering of a company. The company that is
taken in the assignment is Coca Cola. There are major three steps in assignment, and step 3 is
about the report, and the information about the environmental concern practices of the company
are collected in this report. The report will present the personal experience while collecting
information about the environmental practices conducted by the company. There will be the use
of critical analysis and evaluation to complete this assignment.
Description
A company carries out its operations to earn huge profits and to have a larger market share in the
target customers. Environmental issues are increasing day by day because of the increasing
manufacturing activities of the companies. Thus, it is the obligation of the companies to make
sure that they incorporate some environmental practices in their activities to protect the
environment and which can lead to the sustainable development of the business as well the
society and the environment. If I talk about the environmental practices of Coca Cola, I came to
find out that 70% of the Coca-Cola bottles are manufactured by the recycled plastic in Australia.
The company is taking an initiative to plant more and more tress in the country to protect the
environment. Coca Cola is taking initiatives to protect the life of reefs. The Great Barrier Reef is
said to be the largest reef system on the earth as per the reports of environmental analysts. The
company analyzed that due to the increased water pollution and increased changes in the climatic
conditions; there is a danger to the life of reefs. The company is starting a project called the
Project catalyst in collaboration with other companies so that the Great Barrier Reef can be
protected. To protect the health of the customers, the company has reduced sugar in 25 of its
products.
To have effective practices in the marketing and serving the customers, the company has
developed environmental marketing campaigns to make people aware of the environmental
issues and the ways by which they can be resolved. Other marketing practices include effective
market research to gather information about the expectations and tastes of the customers so that
the products can be manufactured as per the expectations of the customers.

The website that the company has developed is user-friendly. I could find information about the
environmental and sustainability practices of the company very easily on the website of the
company. The information is stand-alone information, and a user can easily find the tab for the
environmental information. The language that the company has used in the website is easily
understandable; there is no use of jargon words. The company has provided its history and the
example of initiatives taken by it to protect the environment.
Conclusion
It ca be concluded from the research and discussion that there are various environmental
challenges that are faced by an organization and Coca cola is one such company. But by the
review of its environmental and marketing practices, it can be said that the company has taken
effective steps to protect the environment and the society.
