such as Canada, smoking is illegal particularly in indoor public places and workplaces such as
the restaurants, pubs, and casinos by the federal government and in all territories and provinces
(CDC, 2018). However, despite the separate establishment of laws adopted by each jurisdiction,
bills banning smoking in each of these jurisdictions is identical in most of the parts of the
country.
In countries where the youth have become primary targets of tobacco companies which aim for
their interest to increase their profitability and revenues while risking public health require
stringent measures. The corrupt individuals in power positions that support public smoking
should be ousted out of power. The government has to impose heavy taxes on tobacco-related
products and the taxes collected from tobacco products should be invested in anti-smoking
initiatives to raise youth awareness about smoking in public.
