INTRODUCTION
Working conditions are the rising issue in every workplace which impacts the attitude of an
individual and then tendency to work. As there are lot of problems which are being faced by the
individuals at the workplace such as job security, overtime work without payment, attitude of
superiors , poor working conditions and safety and security and many others. It is very important
to have all these factors under control as they may affect the mental health of an individual
which can impact the productivity of an individual (Bødker,and Pedersen, 2020). In this report,
an address is being done on the issues and challenges faced at workplace and the importance of
code of conduct in establishing the right attitude of the employees and how it helps to resolve
the issues faced at the organisations. The Role of professional bodies in addressing to this issues
activity and what all efforts they have put in in order to regulate the safety and security at the
workplace.

Workplace is the place where individual comes with the expectations of having financial
security, personal identity and to make a significant contribution in the society. It is very
important to provide them a suitable climate and environment where they willing to work and
have job satisfaction and security. But there are lot of problems which the employees experience
whether working overtimes, superior and subordinate relationship and many other problems.
The issue which is chosen to address this report is working conditions of individual at the work
place. It is a increasing issue and challenge for all business all around the world . Every business
engage a lot of employee which belongs to different background and culture. Every individual
requires to possess knowledge, skills, abilities and traits in order to get employed (Bu, and et.al
2021). But it is also important to provide them a secured and comfort zone at the workplace.
There are various problems and issues which are faced by the individual in every business
whether its poor working conditions, communication gap due to cultural diversity, conflicts and
disputes in the staff which creates stressful environment and unsafe environment and sexual
harassment of women's at the workplace. All these are the issues and challenges are being faced
by the employees in every company which have an negative impact on the mental health

2. Explains the codes of conduct that can assist in resolving / addressing the issue
Code of conduct are the set of policies, procedures and principles which are set by an
organisations to regulate the efforts of their employees. They are the guidelines which shapes
the behaviour of an individual or group of individual in a certain way to guide there
performance (Chahartaghi, and Sheykhi, 2018). The code of conduct helps with employee
retention and loyalty as they get committed with companies culture and share the same values.
This helps an individual and clients to know whether they share the common value,culture and
interest with the organisation or not. Incorporation of a code of conduct helps an organisation. A
proper code of conduct accelerate career growth as it guides the performance of individuals
properly resulting in less conflicts,dilemma and problems at work , boost the morale of there
employees, less government interruption and develop an organisation system overall which
helps in achievement of objectives. There are various types of code of conduct which a business
can choose to regulate the efforts and attitudes of employees. The examples of code of conducts
are as bellow-
Confidentiality: It suggest the company policy to not disclose any internal and crucial
information of company to outsiders in order to protect the confidential information of
any organisation by their employees to survive and safeguard the information from their
competitors.
Leave Pay Policy: This policy suggest the paid leaves which an employees can
withdraw and what are the procedure for carry forward and use the unused leaves.
Dress Code: It suggest their employees what should be their attire while they are at work
which depends on organisations policy and their environment and field of work where
such organisation operates(Chernyak-Hai, and Rabenu, 2018).
