proper utilization of resources (Milton, 2012).
Compliance with the plans and specifications

They act as professional witnesses in legal
matters or court (Australia, 2010).
It provides a proper understanding of the
structural situation of the construction or a
building especially when insurance
companies deny offering compensation in

concerning a structure. This helps whenever a
company needs to refer when not sure of what to
do when constructing. It indicates what should
be done where on a building and how to do it.

planning applications. This acts as a guide or
gives instruction especially on how to plan
before commencement of construction
(Peter Walker, 2016).
Helps one in decision making on matters
regarding buying or selling a building or any
residential structure.
Gives an appropriate guide on how the

– Certificate of Conformity
Manufacturer's guidelines help in the
improvement of process-level conformance
of product (Exhibitions, 2011).
Helps in the making of a record system that is
compliant with laid down rules. This is done
through routine checks of equipment and
buildings and recording them down. It,

particular time and the maintenance that needs
to be done.
Used as a process improvement catalyst
Helps in the management of Government
regulations.

management formation through the
technical ideas and advice in regards to
appropriate protective measures to be put in
place (Charles P. Ries, 2013).
It acts as a guide to the consumers on how to
assemble and use a particular product to
minimize risk.
A certificate of conformity assures the buyer that
a particular product meets the appropriate
standard and specification.
It also ensures that a product has been tested
and passed through the safety and technical
requirement.
It shows that a product is safe. This is attained
through information regarding the proper use of
equipment thus reducing faults and risks.

1.3 List two questions that you would ask verbally to the Certifier (refer Q1.2) that would confirm
requirements for compliance and how would you share this information to staff for correct installation?
The two appropriate questions to the certifier may include;
Are all the documentation complete and inorder?
Are we now qualified to start the building and construction project, and when can we start?
The appropriate ways to share information with the staff for installation includes;
Sending the emails to all the employees that deals deal with installation informing them
on how the certifier has responded to the verbally asked questions. This can be done by
sending a bulk email to all the staff members at once and encourage the workers to
respond immediately in case there is a need for agent actions to be taken (Council,
2017).
Having open meetings with the concerned workers. This is important since it gives immediate
feedback from the workers and also helps workers to directly dialogue with their bosses, by
this, the management will be able to read the facial expression. From both direct dialogue and
facial expression, the management will be able to tell whether whatever they require from the
team is workable.
Internal memos and notices can also be shared through noticeboards among the workers
informing them of the crucial information from the certifier.
Making phone calls is very important in passing the information to the workers since there will
be immediate response and also assured that the information has been passed.
Having meetings with respective heads of departments can also be an appropriate way of
passing information since the heads will pass down the information to their juniors and ensure
that whatever is required of them is achieved
A one on one communication approach can also be applied in passing information to
the workers.this is done by calling a person involved aside and explain to him or her
whatever the information showing seriousness on the task to be achieved. This is
important since the person passing the information will get immediate feedback and at
the same time the person receiving the information will be able to see the seriousness
and the urgency of the information passed and will act on it immediately (University,
2018).
The use of simple and precise words while communicating is a very important way of passing
information. Various people have got different ways of understanding information but the
simple world will ensure that the staff members take full grasp of information and will,
Document Page

therefore, avoid misinterpretation of what is being communicated. You should also be able to
properly articulate your words so that the response can be effective.
