Quality Management Plan
1. Introduction
A quality management plan helps in determining the quality, policies and procedures that
are relevant to the project. In this coffee house launch project, the responsibility of preparing a
plan for quality management is given to the project manager. Preparing and documenting a
quality management plan is needed to define the quality level that is acceptable and that is
generally specified by the customers, which in turn helps in ensuring the level of quality that
makes a particular project acceptable. The quality management plan for this coffee house launch
project mainly applies to project deliverables and the work processes associated with the project.
2. Components of Quality plan
The major components of quality plan associated with the coffee house launch project is
indicated as follows-
2.1. Quality Objectives
The major quality objective of the coffee house launch project are as follows-
 To identify the acceptable quality standards
 To Plan a project that can be completed within the acceptable quality range
 To develop and launch a coffee shop by following the identified quality standards

2.3. Quality Control and Assurance Activities
The quality assurance and quality control activity involves inspection by the health
department. Prior to that, the place where the coffee shop is to be set up is inspected to ensure
that a project of high quality is delivered.
2.4. Quality Roles and Responsibilities
The responsibility of quality management plan is given to the project manager and the
quality control supervisor. Along with that, the inspection by the health department is one
necessary step for ensuring that a project of appropriate quality is delivered.
2.5. Planning the reporting of quality control and assurance problems
As per the plan, the quality checks will be done in a regular manner by the quality control
officer and any issues in delivery of project of appropriate quality will be reported to the project
manager.
3. Rationale
It is necessary to develop a quality management plan as it helps the manager of a project
to highlight the major quality issues associated with a project and further helps to check whether
the project of appropriate quality is achieved.

5. Conclusion
