The New fair work commission in Australia proposed changes to the Fair Work Act 2009, which the casual
employees would be entitled to be provided with a permanent job after serving for 12 months (Pekarek
etal .,2017).This proposed change led to a growing concern for Emma Belcastran, owner of Coffeeville
Organization as there are number of casual employees in Coffeeville. This proposal would mean that all the casual
employees who are large in number would have to be provided permanent job after 12 months that would also
mean they would be entitled to several benefits of permanent employee .The benefits of permanent employees

Coffeeville Organization
Australia
Subject : Proposed Changes in the Workforce Plan of Coffeeville Organization
Madam/Sir ,
Considering the several issues ,that includes the higher attrition rate of Coffeeville of 75%,introduction of new store at the
Gold Coast ,Unexpected productivity of Sydney stores due to market competitiveness, issues of staff retaining and recruiting
in Darwin store ,propsed changes in the Fair Work Act 2009,external labour supply for Barista and conducting staff survey to
analyse the source of problems , some of the changes have been proposed.
Some of the changes proposed by me considering the above mentioned issues in the market are as follows :
Conducting a scan of the workplace with the objective to identify and scrutinize the trends that are
affecting the workforce and the organization, Coffeeville– It is required to bring modification to the
present workforce plan of Coffeeville related to this topic and this approach should be followed in the
workforce plan of Coffeeville. Employee engagement programs should be implemented owing to the issue
of the employee retention and considering the outlook of food service staff in Australia (Anitha, 2014 ). It
is alsoneeded to use good questionnaires to survey the employees and identify the issue and problems
leading to the dissatisfaction of the employee’s(Anand et al., 2015).These issues should be resolved for
the achievement of the organizational goals of Coffeeville.
Evaluate the current workforce and Management – The leaders and management of the organization,
Coffeeville should observe and assess the data across the workforce of Coffeeville. The leaders and
management of the organization, Coffeevilleshould be able to identify the particular department in which
attrition is happening more in comparison to other departments (Martín Alcázar et al., 2013). If the source
of it is identified, the management and leaders of the organization, Coffeeville can chalk out solution like
improving the leadership of important personnel of the company like the Supervisors and others,
andaddress the situation (Yang, Huang & Hsu, 2014). This change in the Workforce Plan of the
organization Coffeeville would be beneficial to solve the issues and problems the organization is facing.
I believe that the above proposed changes in the work plan would resolve the mentioned issues faced by
Coffeeville. I would request you to assess my proposed changes that can be implemented in the Workforce Plan of
Coffeeville and provide me the feedback about the proposed changes in Workforce Plan and would expect your
backup and support regarding the implementation of the proposed changes to the present Workforce Plan of
Coffeeville .
Thanking you
