Business is related to performing various activities relating to buying and selling to earn
profits. This study will include the business plan for the Coffee shop which will be starting its
operation in London, UK. Moreover, This assignment will include the market research which
will be conducted by organisation to identify the demands of customers. Furthermore, It will
include assets, liabilities, incomes and gains for the business. Also, This study will provide
understanding of compliance with equality and diversity law.
TASK 1
Summarising the business idea
Industry
The business will be involved in coffee industry which is gaining popularity in the UK
market due to growing demand of the customers to drink coffee in order to remove their
tiredness and fatigue (Bell, Bryman and Harley, 2018). Coffee industry is growing day by day
which shows that it will gain more market share than any other industry in the economy.
Location
The business will be situated in London, UK due to its growing demand at that place. The
coffee shop will be opened at a place in London where more people are attracted such as street
side shop or tourist destination place. Location of the coffee shop will help the business to gain
the attraction of customer so the place will be the central point of the London where more people
are attracted and have the high demand for coffee.
Target customer
The target customer for the coffee shop will be people from all age group which will
consist of men, women, kids etc. It is identified that the number of coffee sippers in UK are
increasing to remove the fatigue to get energy for spending the day well. The customers will be
attracted towards the coffee shop due to high demand of coffee at that place.

The business model for this coffee will be selected as revenue business model. This

The logo of the Coffeista coffee will be designed in a way to give the customers clear
idea about the products and services of the business and to attract them towards the brand. The

Primary research
It will consist of taking the first hand information about the taste and preference of
customers to satisfy their wants by providing the products and services according to their
demands. The primary research will include taking the survey through use of questionnaire
which will consist of open ended and close ended question to identify the demands of customers.
The primary research that will be conducted by Coffeista will undertake the survey by
questioning the target customers about their demands from the coffee shop and which type of
coffee they will prefer etc.

Solving the ethical dilemma faced by Coffeista coffee
The ethical dilemma which is faced by Coffeista coffee provide information that it has
given the opportunity to be promoted by the popular website but that company have various
accusation for treating its employees badly which has become a dilemma for coffee shop to
choose that opportunity or not. If Coffeista coffee adopt the opportunity of being promoted
through that website will give the negative impact on its workers and will also affect the brand
image of Coffeista that will reduce its profitability in the industry.
To resolve this ethical dilemma Coffeista coffee will not grab this opportunity as it will
increase its employees turnover which is not beneficial for the shop and will also reduce its
customers base due to negative impact on them. This ethical dilemma faced by Coffeista coffee
is against the values which were created by them for the promotion of business. According to
the values created by Coffeista coffee the business will treat its employees equally without any
discrimination on the basis of age, gender, religion etc. and to follow this values will not accept
the opportunity as it will demotivate the staff members of the business which is not good and
will also affect the brand image.

doing with its employees and is against its moral value and thus it is beneficial for the

Zero – hour contract workers are hired on the basis of the agreement in which there is
obligation to complete the working hours that is there are no particular hours of working the

according to the contract form and not for the particular hours of working.

which are required for the particular job role in the organisation (Muzellec, Ronteau and
