1. Introduction
The present project report is all about Repair made easy, which is a store in the city of
Melbourne, Australia. This is the store which provides the spare parts and service for the
computers who got damage and having any issue. The present scenario depicts that the RME
are maintaining and performing their certain procedures manually and by this some of the
issues arises with the present manual system which is supported by spreadsheet. Thus to
resolve the issues faced by Repair made easy, the owner of the firm has decided to appoint
software consultant in order to design the new effective information system for their store
which can be managed as on the web basis and the work can get managed and performed
easily. Thus, the report is going to have the brief description about the new designed system.

2. Approaches to Systems Development
The approach which is going to be used by the developer for the development of the effective
information system is the SDLC, which is also known as system development life cycle. This
methodology was incepted in the year of 1960s in order to manage the large software
projects. This approach is very organized and risk adverse which include the various systems
and programmers and that are having the large impact firm. The stages which are used to
develop the effective information management system are outlined below -
1. Initial Analysis - At this stage the analysis is to be done of the project that the project
is good enough for the organization and having the better future scope. This analysis
includes the feasibility analysis along with the feasibility of the technical, economic
legal, etc. This project stats that the project is going to be start or not.
2. System Analysis - In this stage the more than one system analyst are going to have the
view on the requirements for the designing of the new system. Thus this collects all
the things along with the data in order to develop the effective system.
3. System Design - This stage is going to have the prototype or blueprint of the new
system. The project designers will going to design the blueprint of the new effective
system. No programming is included at this stage.
4. Programming - This is the phase in which the code is written in order to get function
of the new proposed design. The various software programmers are included in this
just to write the code for the new system (Agus Widarsono & Rian Adhi Saputra,
2017). After this the system will going to perform the task.
5. Testing - After the stage of programming, the software testers are going to test the
system which is designed by the programmers and various developers. If any of the
error or bug occur and the testers are going to defect that and then work to resolve it
and make it error free.
6. Implementation - After the entire process, the last is the execution of the system
which is designed for the Repair made easy firm. The implementation of the proposed
system is included at this stage. At this the training is also given to the workers to use
the system effectively so that the firm can get the best results with the use of the
designed system.
7. Maintenance - This is the phase which is start when the implementation phase gets
complete. This stage is having the structured process in which the bugs are to fix and

the requests for more features are to be sent by the client, also the backups are to
performed at this stage of the SDLC.
This approach has been selected by the software consultant because this is also works as
the waterfall model and in this the first step is based in the next step, the next step cannot
get completed till the first step if finish. And by this if any changes are required at the
first stage then this can be possible easily as each stage is tested at every step.

3. Systems Requirements.
Functional requirements Interface requirements - The designed system will going to print only the numeric
data and that accepts the current date and past date only. This system will going to
print the on screen data on the printer. Business requirement -The designed system will be worked via internet and the store
is also available on the internet for the users. The system will also update the
centralized data. Regulatory requirement -The system is restricted for the unauthorized users and the
data of the spreadsheet can get secure with the electronic signatures. Security requirement -The members of the firm can enter the request of the user but
cannot be able to delete or approve it. The members who are in the managerial sector
can approve or enter the request but cannot delete it.
Non-functional requirements
Usability - This requirement defines that how difficult the system is for the user and how
easily they can learn to use and operate it. The functions of the system are easier and the user
can easily access the system.
Security - This is very necessary to have the security requirement as the protections of the
data from the unauthorized persons are essential and the protection from the viruses and
malware attacks (Wang, 2017).
Reliability - This show how reliable the software is and how this can work without any
failure. The reliability of any system get low when any viruses or bugs occur.
Performance - The positive performance of the system will give the rise to the positive
feedback and the low performance will give rise to the negative one. Thus, the
performance must be high (Rodriguez-Martinez, et al., 2015). For example - The
home screen does not take more than 2 seconds to get open.

4. Project Cost/Benefit Analysis.
The cost analysis is also known as benefit analysis which is used by the firm to analyse the
decisions, projects or system. This act as breaking down the cost summary into parts in order
to report each factor.
