Part A
In the unit, as a learner, the principles of communication assisted me in gaining the skills of
active listening and reading. In the entire duration of the course I was able to enhance my
listening and reading skill which made me improve my academics. Interpersonal
communication instilled skills of communication that permit in conveying of ideas and facts to
classmates as well as other people one interacts in college. This will also extend to interaction
outside college.
Teamwork being one of the elements in the unit, I got the opportunity to be in a team. Here, I
was able to engage with group members This inculcated working together for a common good
through combination of ideas and facts for the benefit of meeting the course objective.
Additionally, verbal and nonverbal communication came into play that was coupled with the
creation and delivering of presentations orally.
In addition, I was able to learn and get to learn ethics, codes, legal issues and privacy in the area
of ICT. Through this, it is paramount that one get to be honest in studies, be competent and be
professional both during studies. This is possible when one undertake assignments and work
individually. Academic integrity as well as honesty is essential in the arena of academics. This
should be extended to outside work even after completion of studies and going to give back to
the society. Practising work practices as well as operating values allow one to act based on set
code of conduct and ethics and through the course I was able to learn these values.
The use of ICT improve the processes in the organization when various aspects in the
organization get embraced, adopted and implemented and integrate in various facets of the
organization like payroll, manufacturing among others. It makes work easier, faster and efficient
thus making organization to realize high output as well as profits (Simpso & Obdalova,2014)
The application of emerging technologies prove beneficial to the human races and organization.
The use of 3D technologies for instance, bring in many advantages. There is the improvement of
manufacturing, housing made simple affordable and accessible. In human benefits, the

Part B – Feedback
In learning the course, I found that all units are useful in that it will assist me after the
completion of the course. This is because every unit plays an essential role in imparting the
skills.
I feel that the course requires more units in ICT so that one get to gain more skills in the area of
expertise. In the course, I enjoy learning on the application of ICT in making businesses thrive
wel. Also the manner in which ICT can be used to get human tissues and bionic parts.
