Porfolio 2:
I faced a negative experience at my office recently. I was provided with a specific task
regarding a product design on additive technology. At first, an outline of the design was
provided to me by the team leader. As it went through the process and analysis, I discovered
that the product has been already in use by another company. It was also same the blueprint
that I have been delivered. As I got the task, I immediately rejected that and this lead to an
chaotic conflict at office.
The cause behind this chaos has been on the fact that the organization It was working
was not able to face quick consequences because of various infringement copyright laws. On
the other hand, the organization I found out to be using that product can charge my
organization with various misdemeanours. Thus, being the product designer, I also could
have faced various problems because of this issue. However, my negative reaction was not
taken in light way and the supervisors ordered me to finish the assignment instead of any
additional questions.
Thus the above case, helped me in learning various skills regarding conducting of
work in diligent way. The keeping my profession in mind it way my task to conduct by
professionalism in the best and most effective ethical manner that has been possible to me.
This assigned task by the team leader has not an instance of my professional work. Thus the
task could have tampered my own professional behaviour and conduct.
Then, without any additional thinking, I quickly decided over the processes for
combating that problem. This has been the best way to fight with the problem and I was
unable to ignore the problem and then report that to higher authorities regarding unethical
practices. Through considering the seriousness I was asked the team leader for considering
the case again. I urged him to think from an ethical view-point. Moreover, I provided various

recommendations for facing the challenge without hurtling the company’s productivity. Thus
being product designers, this has been taking more time than it has been suggested by my
team leader. However, the suggested outcome of the product has been the same as the ethical
issues that I have witnessed last time. Thus, besides, copying the outline of the product, I
might have simply developed that product from the scratch. This could have saved my
company’s reputations.
However, the positive effect of the complete scenario has been that I was able to make
by team leader analyze the consequence of this tasks. Thus, through the problem solving and
interpersonal skills of mine, I was able to make the higher authorities understand about
various issues that was faced by me at the office. Despite this, the only adverse effect of the
overall experience of mine was the entire experience itself. It had made my team leader angry
on me. This is because I refused directly his given task and then notified that to the
supervisors about that specific concern.
Portfolio 3:
A ghost writer is the one who have been taking money instead of his writings and no
credit is given to him. They are hired as freelancers for producing copies of their work. This
has sounded odd to me for the first time. However, this has been a common practice. I have
witnessed the fact that my friends have been passing their exams with good marks with the
help of ghost writers. This has been a subject of concern, since the success has been coming
from other’s professional skills. Hence, I thought to complain to my lecturer about this
occurring. However, I have been sincerely hoping that they would understand the motives
behind these acts in a long run.

This is honestly a vital element under “ACS Code of professional Conduct”. It has
been defining the rise of this type of deceptive situations at professional areas. My friends
must know that these needs of their profession and let them think about the reason to do this.
This profession has been ethically correct at various places irrespective of various external
unscrupulous situations. As per the ACS code goes, the individuals solving the assignments
behind the real student, must be provided with proper credit. However, as far as my class-
mates are concerned, they have not been doing this only for their personal gains. For
improving the reputations and grades, they must not be using the tasks of ghost writers.
Besides, another element that is mentioned in the conduct is competency. The element
suggests that to do this kind of professional tasks, various professionals must be competent
enough in taking up those risks. They must immediately refuse those kinds of assignments as
they are not able to solve the tasks in their best way. Here, the case study mentioned has been
highlighting that the students have been utilizing those ghost-writers for solving their tasks.
As anyone is unable to do the activities, the most ethical way to go through the situation is to
honestly confess to lecturers that he is incapable to do the assignment. Further, they must
reveal that they need assistance from their tutors or friends to finish the whole assignment.
Moreover, another element of the code of professional conduct, that I have understood
is the “professional development”. With the help of various actions, my friends must be
undertaking to promote their overall professionalism. Moreover, they must be avoiding
various activities that has been tarnishing their pride professionally and then blemish the ACS
code of conduct.
In the end, it can be said that the, apart from undertaking the actions suggested,
developing the quality of life would be an effective way parallel to the ACS conduct. As the
students have been performing all their assignments through their own expertises, the

competence would increase among them. Further, their satisfaction rate would also be getting
higher. Thus, the suggested activities would be helpful for them to achieve an ethical
approach as far as their profession is concerned. This must also allow them to prevail from
conducting various practices in future.
PORTFOLIO 4:
Part A
The study has been helpful to me regarding the proper understanding of the idea of
3D printing techniques. Further the unit has been helpful for me to know the idea of 3D
printing technologies. Further, it has been helpful for me to develop my skills massively.
Further, it has helped to address various problems I have been commonly facing at my office.
There, I managed to handle the case at my office with the help of my verbal and
communication skills that I learnt from this assignment. In order to develop the task, the
skills that I gained from the workplace experience were very much useful. I was able to
develop documentation smoothly according to various requirements of the course based
training. Further, I designed the report as the applications of technology of 3D printing at
manufacturing and medical scenario.
Moreover, various interpersonal skills that I have learnt in the analysis has been
helpful for me in referring various problems about my project, it has been also helpful to
finish the task with least hassles. Now, I can use CAD software. I have also learnt use of
different implications over the mentioned technology. Further, the skills I acquired while
solving my assignment helped me to learn how to finish any project effectively. This has
been also helpful to deal with various ethical concerns that have been taking place at my
office.

I learned how to use a CAD software and learned its implication on the mentioned
technology. The skills that I acquired during my assignment helped me to complete the
project efficiently and helped me to deal with the ethical issue that took place in my
workplace. Further, I was able to evaluate various ethical, social and legal issues about ICT
problems. The blogs and social media sites used by me helped my company to raise the
reputations through raising the flow of data between consumers and companies. At this case,
the marketing abilities have been proved to be very useful.
Further to develop the overall performance, the ICT techniques can be utilized. This
has been helpful for developing flow of information at the company. Moreover, new methods
are also introduced and the operational automation has been helpful for the organization in
long run. Moreover, they can be utilized for declining the various delays and different human
errors that has been creeping the system occasionally. Thus to create the various
responsiveness of particular developments, the technologies can also be utilized by those
organizations. This is to develop customer service delivery of the company.
Part B
Thus the experience has been helpful to develop the profession as per the ACS Code
of Conduct of Professional Practice. I have evaluated 3D printing here. This has helpful to
increase my knowledge. Thus I gained as practical knowledge in the real scenario. The real
case study has been also helpful for me personally. Here I learnt in what way 3D printing can
be sued in Healthcare for the entire unit.
