According to McEwan, Bateson and Strand, (2017) stated that Forensic psychology
shows the criminal mind of the person which is committed will result in punishable under the
law. Law is different for different crimes and also the punishment imposed are different. As
forensic psychology and criminal act are directly related to criminal activities which are
committed by person in society. To make a safe society, laws are implemented to secure the
people interests and provide them fair judgement. As psychology and law are common things as
if any defendant has criminal mind and they commit harm to people than laws are implemented
against him.
Duchesne and McMaugh, (2018) suggested that Psychologist plays an important role in
conducting an interaction between the defendant and their criminal activities. They have to
follow certain legal principles to punish the person under laws if they commit criminal act. To
prove their crime and to punish them, laws plays an important role. Thus, psychology is used to
conduct to judge the behaviour of the people and law related to provide legal rules and regulation
under this case. As people carry the criminal minds with them, if they want to settle some dispute
but that crime is punishable in the eyes of law. As laws are equal for all it only depends upon the
nature of crime.
Miller and et.al., (2016) examined that the police officer are enough to prove the crime
but they can't able to read the mind of the person who committed that crime. In that case they can
they need the help from forensic psychology to examine the facts and more data from defendant
which helps them to resolve the case with clear evidence. In this matter they can help the courts
to punish the guilty person for the crime committed. As laws are imposed under the criminal
procedure Act, 1995 is any person commit criminal crime.
Waterworth and et.al., (2016) viewed that detectives and forensic psychology both work
together to gather the evidence in respect of crime committed. Usually Forensic Psychology
researches a lot to improve the legal systems and its laws which not only punish the guilty person
but also provide chances to reform them. Although court sometimes refer to the person the
forensic psychology to Handel their problems which forcing them to commit criminal activities.
Laing, (2017) argued that there is a strong connection between the forensic psychology
and law as without forensic psychology the crime is not proved and it is not punishable under the

court, which result in not providing justice to the parties. The collaboration occurs as it helps the
parties to handle the crime which is predicted and pre cure them from mental stress. This process
helps the patients and criminal to cope up from their problems and also prevent the environment
from criminal activities. Forensic psychology had been approved by the specialist to solve the
matter related to criminal cases (The reality of Forensic Psychology, 2019). They analyse and
figures out the ways which help courts to secure the life of defendant if they commit any crime
and also provide the chance to life freely under the rules of law.
