INTRODUCTION
Collaborative relationship occur where more than one individual work together with the
motive to attain a common goals. In workplace, collaboration has become as a preferred solution
for working with the various individuals having different point of views. Hence, it is a complex
process which often force individual to learn and listen and communicate with others in a way
that they would normally would not (Eiris, Wen and Gheisari, 2022). Therefore, this report will
be based on the collaborative skill and their significance in building a relationship. Along with
this this report will also discuss impact of the relationship development and collaborative process
demonstrated in the promotion of an effective working relationship.
Explore the collaborative skills and their significance in building an effective relationship
Communication skills- when working collaboratively, then a strong communication skill
is required significantly. Teams, where all the members share their vies and contribute in
attaining a common objective, are more collaboratively than the team in which no on
share their ideas. Sharing of ideas and thoughts succinctly without disrespecting other's
ideas ensure a collaborative work. Communication skill is a significant collaborative skill
in building an effective relationship as it allow the organisation or individual to
effectively share opinion, feelings and expectation.
Adaptability- To build a collaborative workplace, every employer prefer the candidates
which has ability to adopt the changes (Kim, 2022). It is because various project may not
go as per the planning, resulting in an unforeseen delay in priorities. Therefore, ability of
adopting to changing workplace requirement is significant to a collaborative work.
Emotional intelligence- It an an ability of individual's to stay in control of how they
identify and express their emotion to other. In organisation, employer prefer the candidate
with a string emotional intelligence as it facilitate a better collaboration and cooperation
within workplace. It is very important in building a strong relationship as it help in
succeeding in work and attain individual's personal or career goals. It also help them in
connecting with their feeling and turn intention into action.
As collaborative relationship thrive within workplace an environment of curiosity and
respect. All the members of a team need to feel trusted and valued for making right decisions.
Therefore, it is identified that collaborative skill impact the relationship very essentially.

As success of any business mainly relies on establishment a strong and healthy
relationship among team members therefore, every organisation select the members in a
team very carefully who can work with other in a collaborative manner.
Collaborative skill impact the relationship development in a positive ways as it enhance
an interpersonal relationship in a team which improve the communication. Collaborative

Collaborative skill allow a team or diverse group of the individuals to attain tasks which
could not be done individually (Tammeaid, Virtanen and Meyer, 2022). Best intention
practices minimize the judgement and enhance a trust or good relation among the team
members.
For instance, listening skill is an collaborative skill that make enable a person to listen to other's
thoughts and views, they are more likely to foster a stronger relationship with other. Thus,
Collaborative skills contribute in building effective relationship development.
There are seven steps in the collaborative process that demonstrate and effective working
relationship. These stages are mentioned below:
Form the strategic teams- For a variety of the reasons, assignment frequently do not
go to the individual who could offer a best outcome based on the experience and others
are left floundering in order to complete the work another group member could easily
attain with the more expertise in limited time.
Promote diversity- A strong sense of the community, in which difference are respected
and valued is significant for the collaboration. Therefore, in this step, there is an
understanding of the demographic and personality difference goes a long way to expand
open mindness and softing the negative fleeing among all colleagues.
Encourage the team oriented goals- In this it is very easy for the manger to hand out
the deadline and objective to their time (Tkachenko and et. al., 2022). But when a team
work together for establishing their own target and goal, everyone is more strongly
connect to venture and more deeply committed to the success.
Designate a tool for the collaboration process- Work based chats and emails are
familiar to the employees, but all these tools create a disconnect between the
communication which surround the work related task. Therefore, contextual collaboration

ties a direct discussion to the project, marketing endeavours and contract in same
platforms.
Create psychologically safe environment- In this, teams are encouraged to share the
contractive criticism and also praise respectfully (Wardani and et. al., 2022). In a team,
individual's experience and talent play unique perspective in order to tackle the problem.
No one's opinion should be discredited.
Offer incentives and rewards for collaboration- In this step, rather than stocking to the
traditional incentive for employee's performance, offer the rewards for the group's
performance. When team meet the major milestone timely then the entire team must be
rewarded in monetary or non monetary form.
Establish a consistent standard for collaboration process- Here, publish policies, roles
and requirements for the collaboration in a team and across an organisation as a whole.
For instance, for all the one time task project, the teams must create the project board
which specified the individual process and also target the timelines.

From the above report it is concluded that collaborative skulls are likely other skills
which can be pratcies and honed over the time. There are several collaborative skill including
communication skills, listening skill, organisational skill and many more. All these skill help the
a team in building an effective relationship s it create a trust among all the members. Therefore,
it is recommended that in every organisation, manager or leader should treat every members
equally so that it can establish an effective relation effectively sit will help them in attaining the
coming goals efficiently.
