Introduction
College is an educational institution that offers degree after the completion of the well-set
course. It enables individuals to improve their skills and knowledge for a better future. Going to
college enable the society to bring up clever individuals who could understand the difficulties
encountered by our society and then solve them in a clear manner. The paper discusses the 3
reasons why I decided to attend College.
There are different reasons why individuals go to college. Some go to college to land
them high paying employment after graduation. The three main reasons why I decided to join
college include:
Individuals such as young adult go to College to have a better life in the future. As for
me, I joined college life because by then, I had no clue of who I am and things that I needed in
life. I also didn’t know of the direction that I had to follow in life to be successful in the future.
Before I joined college, I had no clear understanding of my real passions. All these factors
motivated me to live my friends, my hometown, my family, as well as their influences to begin
figuring myself out. Thus, I decided to attend college to give me a starting point of knowing new
things different from those that I used to know (Ford, 2017).
Attending college will enable me to start a fresh life. By going to college, I will be able
to put away my old behaviors and my old self and become a better person in the future. I will
also be able to achieve independence. Attending college is the most appropriate method in which
an individual can obtain the independence that they need as it provides an opportunity for
individual decisions making (Zhang, 2018). The college degree will also open for me closed
doors and this will give me a wider choice of different jobs. According to the research conducted

by different researchers on the workforce and education, most of the jobs created by the
government have gone to the employees with at least college education.
College degree does not prepare an individual for the real world. Nevertheless, a college
education will provide me with the opportunity of learning what I love. It will also enable me to
enjoy learning new things especially those that I am truly passionate about. I will be capable of
checking out online resources hence developing my skills and knowledge in a variety of things.
Through learning, I will be able to acquire enough knowledge (Bhardwaj, 2016). Sufficient
knowledge will enable me to achieve intelligence and be a head in life. Knowledge performs an
important role in building my intelligent. Knowledge is also very essential in my life since it will
make me superior as well as give me wisdom (Carruthers & Welch, 2019). I decided to attend
college to increase my confidence level. College will also improve my skills set on areas of work
and computer not covered in high school. I will also get enough freedom of doing other activities
that can positively change my life for a better future.
Conclusion
This paper discussed the three main reasons why I decided to join college. There are
different reasons why an individual may decide to go to college. The main reason why I decided
to join college is to improve my skills and knowledge of the world in general. My dreams
motivated me to go to College. It is true that the College can enable an individual to live a better
life and also be more successful in the future. College is important because it enables a young
adult to enjoy life as well as becoming the person they were meant to be in the future. In
conclusion I realized that College is the best decision an individual can make in their life.
