AI Summary
This project provides an in-depth analysis of the Collin's car parking system, addressing the need for a modernized car parking solution. It outlines the system's vision, which includes incorporating underground sensors and user-friendly interfaces for both regular and ordinary customers. The project details system capabilities, such as advanced booking for regular customers, and discusses the benefits, including improved security and easier access. It also identifies required resources, such as management teams and infrastructure, and maps stakeholders. Furthermore, the project assesses the feasibility of the Collin's car parking system by examining potential market risks, including economic disruptions and system failures. The project concludes by referencing relevant literature on smart parking systems and related technologies. The Collin’s car parking system aims to modernize the existing car parking models available in the market, making the process of car parking much simpler for the customers. Apart from this the concerned business also aims for expanding their business worldwide setting an example. Incorporation of much advanced technology such as implementation of RFID sensors in a much innovative manner in the car parking model is also one of the future aspect of the Collin’s car parking system.

Problem statement
Considering present date problems of the car parks it can be said that a modernized car
parking system is the need of the hour. The Collin’s car parking system intends to deliver an
innovative and simpler approach for availing car parking services. The Collin’s car parking
system includes incorporation of the underground sensors and display for pressing button. The
fixed customers are required to insert their ticket into the slot present in the control pillar and the
ordinary customers must use the pressing button that is displayed in the control pillar (Geng &
Cassandras, 2013). A portal for the feedback section of their customers is also an essential part of
the business.
The present car parking system of the Collin’s car parking is quite time consuming for
the ordinary customers as they are required to visit the payment station every time they exit the
car park. Other than this, android applications and online portal can attract more number of
customers. The online portals and android applications will help the customers to access the
services more easily (Zheng, Rajasegarar & Leckie, 2015). The Collin’s can also alter their
parking fees based on the size of the vehicles as customers with two-wheelers vehicles might
find the system much costlier.
System capabilities
The Collin’s car parking system provides the customers with much organized scheme for
maintaining their car parks. The regular customers can pay book in advance for a longer tenure
and the ordinary customers can pay when they park their cars. In the process, Collin’s parking
can help in gaining more customer base also the accessing process of the Collin’s car park is also

simpler and less time consuming. The car parking process is much more advanced for their fixed
customers; this in turn will help in gaining more number of fixed customers. All of these factors
can help the Collin’s car parking system much more eye-catching to the customers compared to
its market competitors (Barone et al., 2013).
The main objective of the Collin’s car parking is to modernize the existing car parking
models available in the market, making the process of car parking much simpler for the
customers. Apart from this the concerned business also aims for expanding their business
worldwide setting an example. Incorporation of much advanced technology such as
implementation of RFID sensors in a much innovative manner in the car parking model is also
one of the future aspect of the Collin’s car parking system (Karbab et al., 2014).
The Collin’s car parking is yet to incorporate the IT in their model also the incorporation of
infrared based sensors is also in the process for the business. Extending the mobile applications
for windows as well as iphones and making the availability of services in the web and mobile
application is some of the scopes that the Collin’s car parking provides (Kobus et al., 2013).
Apart from this, renting plots for extending the business, installation of automatic security
system and digitalization of the car parking models is some of the major scopes for this business
(Clayton et al., 2014). The long-term vision of the Collin’s car parking is to establish a much
advanced car parking system where the customers can avail the service online. The automatic
ticket checking by incorporation of RFID technology is also on the list of visions of the Collin’s
car parking business. The Collin’s parking is yet to create the cash back offers and discounts for
their fixed customers, thus creating more opportunities for gaining revenue.

System benefits
The following are some of the advantages that the Collin’s car parking system offers:
The ticket booking system of the Collin’s car parking is much simpler compared
to the other existing car parking models in the market.
The security management of the Collin’s car parking is also much trustworthy
compared to other available car parking models as the presence of the security
guards is constantly monitored.
The access to the Collin’s car park is also much simpler.
The Collin’s is also in their way to launch their android application for the much
easier access for their customers.
Easier to understand.
Required resources
The following point highlights the required resources for the Collin’s business:

business requirements. The team is also responsible to ensure that all the
requirements of the business are met (Suryady et al., 2014).
The policy makers of the business
Car parking spaces- Sufficient plots for setting up the car parks is essential for
setting up the car parks

Feasibility of the Collin’s car parking system
The Collin’s car parking system is prone to certain market risks. In case of sudden
disruption in the economic condition, the traffic volumes in the city might get affected, which in

turn can result in the loss the car parking business. Natural calamities such as flood, earthquake
can also lead to the disruption in the Collin’s car parking business. A flaw in the security
measures of the car parking model can also lead to major loss in the business as the business
requires the personal credentials of their customers (Aalsalem, Khan & Dhabbah, 2015). Other
aspects such as system failure can also be a major cause of the business loss. The major risk
involved in the car parking business is the hike in the prices of land. There might be instances
when the Collin’s want to expand in the areas where the land price is unlikely high. System
failure is also one of the major risks of the car parking business (Shoup, 2017). Apart from this,
in case of expansion of the business in other countries the Collin’s car parking business might
face the risk involved in the overseas business.
