The era of colonization saw a lot of changes being brought about in the world history.
The powerful European nations of the globe were the first ones to be desirous of extending their
control and power over the other regions of the world. This essay discusses the view points held
by the early Europeans who were living in North Carolina with respect to the Indian people.
North Carolina is a state in the United States of America. In the beginning of the 16th
century, the Europeans had extended their influence in nearly all the parts of the world. One of
the regions where they had managed to establish their base of power was in North Carolina
(Link, 2018). The native people of the United States are known as the Indians. When the
Europeans came to North Carolina, they realized that such native Indians did not have a proper
code of governance or any specific laws related to the maintenance of the society.
This was true from the perspective of the highly developed European continent (Sturm,
2017). In Europe, there was the establishment of a proper government and a structure which
upheld laws and order. The Indians, on the other hand, were living in tribes. As a result, they did
not believe in the concept of society but rather tribal affiliations.
In conclusion, it can be observed that the observation made by the early Europeans with
regard to the native Indians living in North Carolina was indeed true. They did not have a proper
government or specific laws or a religion.
