The course has been useful for my career. First, when I joined this course, I did not
have an idea of how an introduction, a body, or a conclusion should be done. After doing an
editing assignment, I was in a position to know that a good introduction should have a hook,
with background information and a thesis statement. I also came to learn through the same
assignment that in the body, I should support the idea of the topic statement. This lesson is
essential in my profession since I will be able to make useful articles.
Secondly, the course has taught me about citing my work. Before attending this class,
I could write an article from the internet without acknowledging the author. This changed
after some lessons and assignments on the major research project. Through the lessons, and
the project, I came to learn that words taken from the articles must be cited. This is important
in my career since I will be able to acknowledge the work of others.

The first major challenge I faced in this course was that I did not know how to
analyze critically. My first assignments on this course lacked depth, and I did not know how
to use APA well, I remember my assignment on rhetorical analysis, that question was hard
for me to crack, but eventually, I did. It took me time to understand how to analyze the
question critically and how to use significant formats like APA. Another challenge was on
how to use an online platform. The interface was challenging. At first, it was hard to identify
lecture notes and also to submit my assignments. The online platform could also be disrupted
with technical problems like the slow network. This made learning at first sessions very
challenging before I could adopt.

At the moment, my performance on the course is above average. Up to now, I can
master what we have learned about editing, research project, rhetorical analysis, among
others. I have a good set up in improving my grades, and this is by setting more time in
revising my notes and also setting a video discussion with my classmates.

The component and delivery of this course can be improved by creating a session
where class members can interact and share their experiences, and this will motivate those
who lack motivation and also enable people to learn from others. Again, class members
should be encouraged to identify their weaknesses and share with the course tutor so that they
can be helped to improve. When all these recommendations are implemented, I am confident
that the delivery and the component of the course will improve.
