understand. Enacting as well as enabling of the legislation has been encouraged for the adoption
of electronic commerce by the federal, state or territorial governments. Responsibility has been
given to the global companies for dealing with the legal issues such as forming of the contract,
abiding by the consumer protection laws, the creation of the privacy policies, security of the
databases, etc. The legal issues related to the e-commerce include privacy of the customers by
way of incorporating procedures for limiting the access to the personal information of the
customers by unauthorized parties. The second issue is concerning the protection of copyright on
digital content since the internet the biggest copy machine and hence calls for the requirement of
set laws for ensuring that the fundamental doctrine of copyright is not undermined by the digital
technology. Thirdly, even trademark requires protection as there are many people who use the
trademark or domain name of someone else without their authorization thus amounting to
dilution of trademark. The other major issues related to this include click are and shrink are the

allotted, frequent communication, etc. are the ones affecting the relationship. It has also been
