Topic 1: Environmental Law:
The article describes about the toxic tort subjects including the growing judicial rejection of any
exposure and causation theory, it also highlighted about the basic laws regarding environments.
The clean Air act, clean Water act, Resource Conservation and Recovery acts has been described
here. According to Hundal et al. (2014), the main motto of this laws and acts are to indicate the
impacts of growing human civilization upon environment. The various laws have been created to
maintain the balance in the environment and put up some limitations and restrictions to human
activities so that all the living and nonliving organisms get a scope for survival. However, the
law and acts has come out gathering experiences from various environmental aspects. According
to Milazzo (2016), federal courts in Illinois, North Carolina, and Louisiana has given green
signals after considering all the necessary facts and thus, the decision is properly judged.
Topic 2: Application Exercise #11: Contractor Responsibility
Contractor’s responsibility is to maintain the standards provided by government to continue the
business, failing to which it seems to be a non-responsible contractor. There may be various
situations where contractors seem to be non-responsible. The roles, qualification and
responsibilities of contractors are specifically mentioned in the context FAR part 9. As per
Shapiro & Keiser (2017), contractors generally sell or purchase the scrap materials or sell shares
and makes acquisition of lands. Therefore, government must get proper information and money
from the transactions. However, most of the times for selling scrap materials; contractors do not
reveal the exact tender value and selling prices. Black marketing and illegal transactions
influence some contractors. Thus, Government cannot regain the actual price and remains a gap
in preparing their annual stock exchange report. In this particular field, contractors may be
considered as non-responsible.
