barriers and language barriers. Due to these barriers a person is not able to understand the

INTRODUCTION
Communication is a very important part as this support in
conveying message and information in effective manner. There
are various barriers that affect communication process. In this
report different communication barriers are analysed. Various
strategies that will support in overcoming communication
barriers are determined along with this show cultural
awareness.
Communication barriers
This can be describe as anything that will affect flow of
communication or understanding message clearly. There are
various communication barriers that will lead to have impact in
local Londoners and visitors communication in train. It is very
important for every person to have complete information about
communication and it barriers that impact message. The major
communication barriers are–
 Language barriers – This is the communication barriers
that are due to difference in language. There are various
types of language in all around the world and this
includes same word with different meaning. This is one
of the most common barriers that will affect
communication process as well as clearly understand
meaning.
 Psychological barriers – This refer to the psychological
state of person that will influence the meaning of received
message. Psychological barrier is due to mood,
perception and attitude of a person regarding others. For
example if some person is angry then there is high
chances that they will misinterpret message and respond
in inaccurate manner.
 Culture barriers – This is communication barrier which

values or customs. Culture barrier can be describe as the
problem that affect communication barrier because people
from different culture are not able to know customs. This
lead to inconvenience and difficult to understand message
clearly.
Strategies to overcome communication barriers
There are various strategies that will support in overcoming
communication barriers as well as flow of effective
communication between different individual. It is very
important to identify and analyse different strategies of
resolving communication problem as this will support in
creating strong relationship among different individual.
Culture awareness will assist in enhancing the information
about different culture as well as increase diversity
environment. Different strategies are mention below.
 Use common language – It is crucial to use common
language that is easy to understand and enhancing
communication process. English to the most
commonly used language among different part of the
world. Common language use will assist conveying
right and accurate manner so that receiver can easily
understand the meaning of message. This strategy will
assist in overcoming communication barrier.
 Active listening – This is the practice of listening
message clearly in order to understand the meaning
correctly. Listening is very important part of
communication process and active listening will lead
to overcome communication barriers. Active listening
will help receiver in understanding the message clearly
as well as responding in correct manner.
Culture awareness
 Share knowledge about culture – It is very important
to share knowledge about different cultures. So that
other can gain information regarding other culture and
values. This is effective strategy that will support in
resolving communication barrier due to culture
difference as well as help in enhancing information
regarding various cultures.
 Clear and polite communication – It has been
determined that polite and clear communication is very
useful strategy in order to overcome communication
barriers. Ensure using simple words that is easy for
receiver to understand and convey information in polite
way so that receiver will be able to interpreted message
in correct manner.
CONCLUSION
From the above poster it can be concluded that
communication is a very effective process as this will lead to
transfer information and idea from one person to another.
There are various communication barriers that will lead to
affect communication process negatively. Strategies to
overcome communication barriers and enhancing awareness
about culture will lead to smooth flow of communication.
