perception to other person with the help of
symbols, language and any other way.
Communication is a process where interaction can
be performed between two or more participants.
This poster includes barriers of communication in
London tube system and strategies to overcome
those barriers and role of cultural awareness in
them.
London is such a big geographical area in which
various cultured people are living and using London
tube system. Every culture is having different dialects
which creates difficulties’ to understand and make
other understand which lead to ineffective
communication. For example a Chinese will have
different dialect as compare to an Indian so this
aspect creates barriers in communication.

signboards cultural awareness is added. The officials
are also trained to showcase cultural identity which

have English as their first language so it is very
difficult to communicate with the entire passenger.

used by London tube services is that they can start
kiosk which are having information in various
languages and a passenger can just get instructions in
their own language by clicking on their language.
Training to officials: By providing training to
the entire officials will help them to understand and
tackle varied cultured and dialects of people. This will
assist the employees to deal with those people who are
not able to understand native language of London.
