INTRODUCTION
The communication is an act of transferring information from one place to another which
is required in every field and everywhere. To communication effectively is most important of all
life skills. The communication can be vocally, written, non-verbally etc. The developing of
communication skill helps in all aspects of life (Henderson, and Barker, 2018). To speak
appropriately with wide variety of people it needs good eye contact, vocabulary and language,
listening effectively. The report will discuss the ways of developing communication skills and
collaborating with peers.
MAIN BODY
Ways in which collaborating with peers helped in developing effective communication skills.
The effective communication is crucial part for the students and in professional life. It
helps in making a cosmic impression and allows to engage in clear conversation in form of oral
or written (Kaplan Serin, Alp Dal, and İkde Öner, 2020). There are several ways through which
communication skills can be developed while collaborating with peers in higher education such
are-
Group discussions – This is effective way which motivates the students to initiate and
engage in conversation. It involves the sharing of ides and activities as connected with
one basic idea and different preselective are provided by students which helps in
collaborating with peers and improves communication in higher education.
Team working- It is also considered as effective way for improving the communication
through team work collaborating effort are made for achieving the common goal and
requires coordination in the group (Pollard, and Swift, 2018). The team members have to
communicate with each other for different aspects which leads to cooperation among
team members. The working together creates focus which assists students in
communicating more effectively.
Active listening- This is regarded as effective way which involves listening with all
senses and full attention is given to speaker. It is a practice of observing and verbal and
non-verbal messages. The listening to others is an effective way for developing
communication skill in students as they respond and provide answer. This helps in
encouraging openness, honesty and success.

Positive feedback- The providing of positive feedback to students encouraging them to
perform well. The giving of positive feedback is essential part for promoting effective
communication in students as they receive praise which builds trust with peers and
teachers so that task can be achieved successfully. This also helps in creating geed
harmony and confidence in students (Schöpf, and et.al., 2019).
CONCLUSION
From the above it is being concluded that developing of effective communication helps in
creating better understanding, builds trust and improves relationships. To enhance the
communication skills in students it encourages open and collaborative learning ambiance. There
are various ways which can be used for improving the communication such as group discussion,
active listening, positive feedback and team working etc. The enhancing of communication skill
make person more confident and creates friendly environment.
