Personalisation refers to the phenomenon of thinking about a person as an individual who
have unique set of strengths, aspirations, preferences and arranging them in the centre of
procedure of determining the needs of individuals. In other words, it refers to the process of
addressing the aspirations and requirements of entire community for ensuring that each person
has access to the right to information, advice and advocacy for the purpose of making good
decisions regarding the support they require (Solomon, 2019).
The concept of personalization is becoming intensely popular in the healthcare industry.
Healthcare organizations are increasingly offering personalized services. National Health Service
(NHS) has been focusing on formulating and offering its services keeping in minds, the needs of
different individuals. It facilitates a system for commissioners and health services providers in
ensuring a joined-up approach. It also offers access to better quality, highly responsive and
flexible health care.
Multi-agency working is concerned with facilitation of smooth response to individuals
who have complex and multiple requirements. For serving the multiple needs of different
individuals, it is necessary for the health care organizations to work in collaboration. This multi-
agency working is considered as an effective way of supporting young people, children, families
who have excess requirements of care and assisting them in securing actual improvements in
their lives. Multi-agency working could engage any person who are either through their job or
voluntarily associated with children, families or young people with learning disabilities.
However, the tendency is more to include the people who have professional backgrounds in
social work, education, health, youth justice etc. Since, every individual or group of individuals
are different from one another and because of that arrangement of multi-agency team or panel
changes from case to case (Harris and White, 2018).
There are various of models of multi-agency working, and they are broadly classified
into three broad categories. First one is multi-agency panel wherein practitioners remained
employed by their agency. These practitioners meet as a network on a continuous basis or create
a panel for the purpose of discussing the additional needs of children who could be benefited by
the workings/inputs of such multi-agency.

Examples of such kind of panel is Youth Inclusion and Support Panel (YISP). Other
broad classification is multi-agency team which is a more formally organized body than panel
wherein the medical practitioners are recruited or employed as a team in which one person acts
as a leader that guides the team towards achievement of common objectives. The working
culture of teams is such that these team members can maintain the connections with their home
agencies by the way of training and monitoring. The scope of such team is to work at large level
i.e., not for individuals or children but for families, group of people etc (Castell and Kroese,
2016). Example of such team is Behaviour & Education Support Team (BESTs). Last category is
integrated service. In here, a set of separate services shares a common place wherein all the
practitioners work in an integrated or collaborative manner. This category is characterized by a
visible hub for the society and possess an organized management structure that creates a suitable
environment for collaborative working. Example of such integrated working is Sure Children's
centres.
These multi-agency working has significantly benefited the health care industry and
contributed in preventative and intervention services (Multi-agency working, 2013). The multi-
agency working offers benefits to young people with learning disabilities, families and children
as they get highly personalized services that satisfies their needs in the most effective manner
possible. It helps in early intervention and identification, it facilitates rapid access to the
integrated health care services or expertise. Moreover, it offers better support for guardians and
parents, high quality services are facilitated to the children with learning disabilities and their
additional needs are more effectively addressed.
These benefits are possible because of the integration of expertise services of various
medical practitioners which offers the much-needed multi health care services for supporting the
children and young people. Moreover, multi-agency working is highly effective in preventing the
vulnerable young people from abuse and harm. Sound policies and procedures for sharing
information between these multi-agencies can result into greater result in preventing the young
people who are suffering from abuse in the care homes. Further, it is required that such
information should not be shared by these agencies rather they should analyse it and use it in
formulating more effective and better social and health care practises (How does multi-agency
working decrease the risk of abuse and neglect, 2016).

Effective team is the foundation of each and every successful organisations. Without
team it is not possible to do the work because it is important to have an effective team which
support each other decision and support the adults with severe learning so many difficulties and
also mental health as well. From having effective team it helps in improving the quality & also
facilitate all the completion of task and projects which easily increase the efficiency and
productivity as well(Butchibabu and et.al., 2016).
It is important to have an effective team where the members of team support the
decisions of the members because from having an effective team it provides so many unique
knowledge and skills which moves the whole team to forward. It makes good relations with
others and also improves the communication as well. There are so many qualities which has been
needed for making an effective team such as effective communication, understanding, efforts,
diversification, supporting each other, organising management and truly focus on the goals and
objectives of the company. From not having the proper guidance and support it directly affects
the mental health of the individual.
Environment of the effective team always promotes a positive atmosphere around the
team and their members where it easily fosters the relations and loyalty(Bookey‐Bassett and
et.al., 2017.). Working in a team is much more important because it increases the abilities and
also gives the spirit to perform together which comes in growth and development of the
individuals and organisation as well. It is necessary to have an effective team because it
motivates and increases the morale of the adult and support them in their decision which makes
and feel them good. Effective team helps in solving the problems of individuals and also making
the collaboration with other and team as well. There are so many activities which has been
conducted for supporting the adult in the team with the severe the learning difficulties and
mental health as well in working with the services users.
From, having an effective team members it really supports the adults with severe
difficulties in learning because positive environment of the team make a healthier environment
and make positive mentality. An illness of mentality is generally the conditions which affect the
mind set of the person such as the thinking, moods and feeling(Boynton and et.al., 2016). In
those conditions it affected the ability typo relating the functions and others. Lifestyle and
environment also influence others for developing the conditions of the mental health. It is

necessary to support adults because they take time to understand other team members and there
are lots if time ineffective affects the mental health of the adults and it directly affects their
health. From paring with each others in team contributing in the well-being of the person and
also contributing in the happiness of the individuals(Taylor, 2015). It also helps the adults to
building the confidence & self-esteem as well. From working with other with collaboration it
easily it reduces so many risks and also support the decisions of adults. Effective team member's
helping each other for learning and make them understand when something is more difficult
about anything. It improves the culture of the organization and also it decreases the rate of
mental illness. Some times from heavy workload and lots of pressure it affects the health of the
individuals, stress the, depression and disturbed their mind set which is not good for them to
working in the future(Wagner and et.al., 2017).
It is also necessary to having the collaboration with the team and services user because
team sees the values for working together for achieving the common goals and objectives. They
have the meaningful reason for working together because it increases their understanding and
feel them comfortable with others. Collaboration with others provides each and every team
members the equal opportunity for communicating and participating and exchange the ideas and
thoughts with each other. it is very important at workplace for having the collaboration with
others because its not easy to make good relation with others and communicate with others(Lilly,
and Katz, 2016). At working environment collaboration is much more important where it has
been specificity means that getting more and more work has been done faster from collaboration
and it is basically a process where the member's of the group to constructively explore the power
and ideas for looking for the ways to out which is far extended than own limited visions.
From day to day increasing the competition, it is becoming more extremely important for
encouraging the creativity and thoughts of the office. For promoting the healthier relations of
employees and also improving the productivity. From healthier working environment employees
doing their work quickly and effectively, as compared to the individuals for working on the

necessary adequate coordination and communication is maintained. The importance of

people suffering from certain disabilities and mental health problems valued, and they tend to be
more comfortable with the care takers (Artiga and Hinton, 201). This aids both the people with
disabilities and support providers in dealing with the challenging behaviour. Good relationships
between the staff of health and social care providers and patients develops only when
communication takes place between them is effective. Receiving and giving of the information
becomes easier for carer when good relationships exist that ultimately results into delivering of
quality services to them.

Mental health issues affects any person at any time which can be treated. However, the
same is not in case with the people who are suffering from learning disabilities. It has been
anticipated that mental health issues relating to learning disability amongst children and young
people account for 40% approximately. This rate has been found out to be the double rate of all
the issues relating to mental health in the general population. Also, children who are suffering
from learning disability have higher risk of developing mental problems than the children who
does not have learning disability. This disability just not have mental negative effect but also
create havoc in the later life of the young people. Therefore, looking at the intensity of the
adverse effects of learning disability in children and young people, it is very necessary to transfer
good practise to other when they are working for supporting adults who are suffering severe
learning hardships and mental health issues (Littlefield and et.al., 2017).
People suffering from learning difficulties should be dealt with extreme amount of care
and their disability should be perceived as a mental issue rather than just recognizing it as a
challenging behaviour. Cognitive behaviour therapy could be adopted by the staffs of the
multi-agencies working in supporting the adults with severe disability. Support providers must
use this therapy which involve talking to the person affected by the learning disability for the

purpose of understanding the thoughts, emotions, physiology, their behaviours etc., through
which state of mind of affected person could be effectively understood. The health care providers
could involve the parents of the adults who are suffering from severe learning disability, for
making the treatment plan and therapy more effective. Usually parents are not aware of the
mental health issues which makes them to ignore such disability from which their child is
suffering from. Involving them in the therapy will help them in getting the useful insights about
the reasons behind the disturbing behaviour of their children. This in turn will aid them in taking
care of their child more effectively. This is done to make sure that affected person gets such
environment at their homes through which speedy recovery could be made (Arnold and Boggs,
2019).
One of the good practises which can be transferred to others when working to support
adults by indulging them into creative games, exercises so that their reactions to such
environment could be assessed. Further, group exercises, gathering of large people who are
suffering from such disability at one place could help in treating them as people learn by
observing others. Psychodynamic therapy could be applied by the people who are supporting the
people with learning disability. This is a long term disability which allows the health care
providers an opportunity of analysing the reactions and emotions of the young people with
learning disability. Staff of Health and social care services offering organizations are facilitated
by this therapy in which focus is on assessing how adults builds relationships with others which
most of the times includes certain events that has occurred to them as child (Moss and et.al.,
2016).
Interventions are also effective for treating the people with learning disabilities because
they are personalized according to the needs and requirements of each individual. Positive
behaviour support (PBS) is one of the intervention which is highly preferred while working with
the adults facing learning difficulties. This is a holistic approach wherein all the key factors are
considered which potentially affects the behaviour of a person and recommends strategies for
dealing with it and teaches new skills. It is useful in addressing the issues ranging from anger,
tantrums, learning disabilities. Increasing communication with the young people bearing this
disability can be passed on to the people working with such individuals as it can really help in
treating them effectively. Engaging people with learning disabilities in talks, discussions can
assist in extracting out the reasons and causes which are making them to struggle with their
