2.1 Analysis of theories, principles and models of communication
 Communication is one of the most important tool which helps the teacher in effective
learning and development of a student.
 Shannon and Weaver model of communication
 This model is mathematical theory which promotes communication between the
teacher and a student. According to this model, the process of communication can be
broken into 6 elements which includes sender, encoder, channel, noise, decoder, and
receiver.
 Transactional model of communication
 The transactional model of communication refers to constant communication between
the teacher and the student that includes both the sender and receiver within the
process.

the help of effective communication, an individual should try to enhance the learning of the
students by positively influencing their behaviour

4.1 Analysis of theories and models of curriculum development
 Curriculam development refers to a process which involves
several steps guiding a school or university in to preparation of
courses for the betterment of the students.
 Bloom's taxonomy Theory
 The Bloom's taxonomy theory is a set of models that are used
by the educational institutions in order to classify the learning
objectives on the basis of their particularity and complexness.
This theory is used to categorize the learning objectives into
three categories namely, cognitive, affective and psycho meter.
 1. Cognitive domain
 2.Affective domain
 3.Psychomotor domain

2.2 Ways in which theories, principles and models of communication can be applied to
teaching, learning and assessment
 In order to improve the effectiveness of the learning and knowledge gained by the students, it is
essential for the teachers to implement the use of theories and models of communication within the
teaching practices:
 In order to implement the model of Shannon and Weaver , a teacher must use the proper format in
order to communicate with the students and enhance their learning.
 Similarly, for the purpose of implementing the transactional mode of communication within the
teaching practices, the teachers must communicate with the students in a way that gives an idea of
discussion to the students.
 The behaviourist theory of communication promotes the use of positive and motivational language
with the students that encourages the students into getting good grades by getting something as a
motivation.
 For the purpose of apply the use humanistic theory of communication, the teachers should
communicate with the students and determine whether they are feeling comfortable with the
environment.
