Description
This reflection paper will be focusing on the weekly contents of the workbook and
specifically the paper will focus on the subtopic, models of communication. During the
classes of first week of the semester, this topic was reviewed and discussed by the instructor.
Along with the textbook some other materials were used by the instructor to provide a better
knowledge about the topic. A video and some power-point presentations related to the topic
were shown in order to clearly demonstrate the necessity of the models of communication.
Linear Model as well as Circular Transactional Model was a part of the discussion.
Feelings
At the beginning of the learning I thought such topics are not so much necessary as
well all know how to communicate. But, when I learnt about the models of communication
from its core, it changed my view. The in-depth knowledge and types of communication
model and its importance in various fields developed my interest on this topic and initially, I
was less interested in participating the class but later on, the process of teaching and the
content attracted me. However, I was concerned about completing the self-directed learning
but knowledge gained in the classroom helped me to develop my confidence.
Evaluation
The class was quite interactive and all the students were actively participation in the
teaching session. All of them were participating in the activities provided by the instructor.
Classroom participation is important in learning as it adds interest and engages students to
think critically and it helps in making connections with the content (Hanum, 2017). It also
increased my courage. Instructor introduced some activities that allowed group interaction.

homework helps a student to work independently and I also got benefited with this task as it
enhanced my confidence.
