INTRODUCTION
Communication skill is required in health and social care because there every work needed
this skill. Communication with staff members, patients, managers is important for the social and
health care organisation. It plays main role in decision making process. Health care wants
employees with good communication skills. This file will include role of research for evidence
based practice in the social and health care, review of key literature related to research topic toward
improvement in health care, benefits of evidence based practice, value of literature review in
positive way in social and health care and how it influences on social care(Foronda, MacWilliams
and McArthur, 2016.).

A. purpose and process of conducting research in enabling evidence-based practice in health and
social care
Evidence-based practices in health care refers to the practice in which health care team
focuses on the individual patients for better outcome. Research about the effect on healthcare with
different form. Use of the best evidence in the treatment process for better outcome and feedback
then found the best solution in effective way.
Purpose of it in healthcare industry is to identify topic of interest and skill development, to give the
best healthcare delivery to the patients. Process of research in enabling evidence-based practice in
health care-
Ask a clinical guiding question- At first research starts from clinical guiding questions and
question about patient outcome, area of interest of the employee. Intervention or comparison.
Problems of the patient which they have to faced. These all questions start a research process.
Search for the best evidence- In the second stage, search the answer of that all questions and find
the best evidence to solve that problems from using all resources(Essig and et.al., 2011).
Critically appraise the evidence- Analyse the weakness and strength of the evidence. Also analyse
that how a client fix in that evidence and satisfaction level. Find the skills of that evidence that how
that skills help them in solve the task with better feedback. It in the person who suits with their
skills and have ability to be an evidence than they chose for it.
Integrate the evidence with clinical expert- In it client have their choice to make a decision for
them that with whom they want to go or treat. Here clients will preferable for their decision. They

have alternative choices for their evidence because it plays a main role in the treatment.
Evaluate the outcome of evidence-based practice- In this stage understand about the best
evidence an outcome. Patient satisfaction and how they feel after the treatment. If the result comes
in positive way than it's okay but if result comes with negative points than find the causes behind it
why it happens(Hiller, Guillemin and Delany, 2015).
Disseminate the outcome- In the last stage it has to be clear that which is the best evidence and
take review from people of the organisation or other people and also use online data or clinical help
for know about the outcome of that healthcare.
B. The skills and qualities needed to conduct a literature review in health and social care
Core skills- In the health and social care it is very important skill which have to needed in
the person who is going to start literature review. Commination is the key of success of any people
in the organisation and person who is going to do literature review is capable to communicate with
other peoples. Able to give a presentation in English or local both language, critical reading
techniques.
Computing skills- The person who is going to take a literature review, is capable to monitor
systems and computer knowledge. Computer security knowledge, web browsing with different
study apps to understand about the environment of healthcare. Knowledge about a normal computer
literacy with help of different applications.
Ongoing skills- For conducting a literature review the skills required of understanding
different learning styles to follow them. Aware about the skills and understand how to improve it
with new techniques and follow more experimental styles to conduct a good literature review. Note
taking techniques which will help them to learn and recognise everything.
C. Gibbs reflection model
Description- In the description it is noted that what are the skills required for conduct research plan
and the persons who involve in it at the healthcare place. Role of other people in the literature
review.
Feeling- It is all about the situations during the research on the workplace and feeling of people
during and after that process. Feels of people who exist on that workplace include staff, researcher,
patient.
Evaluation- Evaluate about the program that hoe that program went. Well or not well and what is
the reason behind this. About the contribution of researcher and other peoples at the healthcare.

Analyse - After that the next step is analysed that how that program went and what are the things
which learned from that program. Problems which had to faced during the literature review and all
experience.
Conclusion - In the conclusion stage it has to understand that what the things which learn from that
program and if it held in future again that what will be done. Learning styles which learn from that
research and effect of that style on the workforce.
Action plan - It is developed for future program if this will be conduct again. If the program has
conducted successfully and in positive way than it promise to own that next time it will be same. It
is all about the outcome which they gain from that particular research.

It is the important aspect of planning a project. There are some uses of this plan-

staff effect patient outcome. Effective commination make safe environment in healthcare. These
skills enable effective interaction between nurses, patients and other healthcare workers.
Commination skills make a healthy environment in the organisation. It also provides safety and
security to patients and staff both. Through this cultural awareness improved. Improving
communication between health care providers target safety goals. Communication skill is pre
professional education accordion to them. When someone is talking about their culture then there is
lack of confident in that person and has to face difficulties in it(Moore and et.al.,2018).

thing and there communication makes major role. For hearty relationship between doctor and
patients depends on the communication and trust between them. It leads to better satisfaction level
of the patients. The quality of interaction depends on the patient satisfaction through outcome.

focuses on developing existing knowledges and skills regarding communication skill. Commination
describes as a process in which an information transfer from one to another. It is integral to the

different languages and make relations.

C. reliability and validity of your literature review and a rationale for research study
Reliability and validity-Reliability and validity are referred to be the 2 most significant aspects of
a study. Both of these are thereby need to be determined for acknowledging the accuracy of the
acquired results. The present investigation has depicted a systematic review done in the form of
literature review. This has been done with assistance of a tool named as keyword search to find out
certain authentic journals and conduct secondary research. On referring to the reliability and
validity of this method, it has been found that the applied keywords were valid in nature and have
helped in producing authentic outcomes at the end. This has in turn proven a reliable literature
review(Chaharsoughi, Ahrari and Alikhah, 2014).
It is a tool which is used for conduct research. It is measurement of stability of test scores. There are
two types of reliability external and internal. External reliability refers to the tools which used for
increase the marks. Reliability is a degree of measurement form which an accuracy achieve. Internal
reliability refers to the tools which used for proper outcome. The tool from which gain accurate
result is called validity.
In above study the reliability tool which is used is key terms. It is secondary research which
gain from articles.
Rationale for research study- The topic which has taken in the research is based upon the
communication skills which is needed in the healthcare industry. This topic has chosen because
there is need to evaluate the causes of it that how it makes impact on the organisation and the
outcomes. In this world health care is the biggest industry and it is running for outcome of the
patients so from this study it has proved that communication is an important part of healthcare
industry. There is a few articles which is based on this topic so need of research generated. Need of
this research generated because there is lack of communication between the doctors and patients so
know about the problems between them and to understand about the connection of communication
and outcome.

Evidence based practice is the conscientious use of current based evidence in making
decisions about the patients care. It is an interdisciplinary approach to clinical practice that has been
gaining ground. In health-care system, it is started in medicine as evidence bases medicine as well
as spread to allied health professionals. Importance of evidence-based based practice in healthcare
are as follows-
Evidence practice provides the most efficient as well as effective care which is available
with the purpose of improving the outcomes of patients. It is true that patient expect to receive the
most effectual care which based on the top-quality available evidence.
In today's era, patients are very concern about their health as they are demanding better and
quality of treatments. Thus, it can only be done by evidence based practices as raise the patient
safety as well as it also improves the quality of life of patients.
b. Develop a project proposal.
INTRODUCTION

this skill. Communication with staff members, patients, managers is important for the social and
health care organisation. In this present proposal will identify the importance of communication in
health-care organisation as well as skills and knowledge requires improving the outcomes of the
patients.
LITERATURE REVIEW
In order to conduct the research, Researcher has used these three articles which are stated
above. These articles are based on the importance of communication in healthcare as well as
communication skills and techniques which are required to deliver the best services to users. The
first article is of Kennedy Sheldon and Dany M. Hilaire 2017. Second article was given by Swastika
Chandra, 2018 and third article was given by Elaine Bramhall, 2014. The outcomes of these articles
is that communication is the backbone in health and social care. It is very important that healthcare
professionals should have the best skill and knowledge of communication.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is very important part in conducting the research proposal. It is the
systematic method for conducting the research successfully. Here the four types of research method
used by researcher to conduct the research study.
Key Words Search- Active listening, communication skill training, interpersonal skill,
nursing unit, education, safety, cultural awareness, trust, patient satisfaction, interaction between
patient and doctors.
Data Base- It is the organized collection of data so that it cane be easily assessed, managed
as well as updated. The data base which are used by the researcher are PUBMES. Scholar and
Science Direct.
Boolean Operator- Researcher has used AND / OR in order to conduct the research

successful.
Inclusion or Exclusion- In order to make the research valid and to bring continuity in the
research. Researches has included only English Language and exclude other languages. Moreover,
Researcher has included the articles or data collected after year if 2014 to 2018 and exclude the year
back form 2014.
Prizma- Researcher has searcher 500 approx articles and after screening researcher has
come to 100 and again investigator has reach to 25 articles and last researcher has come to 3 articles
which were discussed above.

The proposal which is conducted by the researcher has high degree of viability. The research
which are conducted by the researcher is very useful for the other users. It can be used in the
practical life and it is very useful for health-care organisations as well as professionals to solve the
issues of communication within organisation. Health-care organisations will also learn the
importance of training regarding communication skills and knowledge of employees.

TASK 4
a. Describe different ways of evidence-based in health and social care practices.
Evidence based practice is the procedure in which the practitioners combines well
researched interventions as well as researched interventions with the clinical experience as well as
ethics. In this present study, researcher has used for bringing improvement in healthcare services
which organisation are providing. In primary care, evidence based study is very useful is improving
the quality of care. In addition to this, it is also very useful in measuring performance of the care
givers.
b) Positive impact on current practices to improve the service delivery on Red Cross organisation.
It is very important that the current practices should be improved because people are become
very concern about their health. Thus, this research is very helpful and it leads to positive impact on
the Red Cross organisation by-
This research has identified the importance of communication as well as communication
skill and knowledge in care givers within health and social care. Red Cross will provide training to
there employees and raise the skills and knowledge of employees,
In addition to this, research will also help Red cross to bring improvement through evidence
based practices. So that, the quality of care will be improved.
c) Personal Research Process.
 The literature review will lead to the outcomes which is the importance of communication as
well as communication skills in health and social care.
 The literature reviews is very successful in achieving the aims and objectives of the study.
With the three article searched, researcher has easily reached the accomplishment of aims
and objectives of the study.
 Outcomes is the best work in this research study as researcher easily find the articles.
 The issues arise during the process is lack of resources in the stage of maturity of research
study but Researcher has taken immediate steps and solve the issues.
 I have learned many things like Importance of communication in health and social care,
research methods to conduct the research.
 I will rate my performance to 9 out of 10 because I have searched real article. No need of
hypothesis used and or any fake articles.
 My strength identified that I never give up in conducting the study. My weaknesses is lack
of patience and I think my skills swill be more developed by conducting this research.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has been summarised that evidence-based practice in healthcare
created importance because every patient want better outcome and every healthcare provider also
wants better feedback from the patients. Above describe the skills which needed for a researcher,
communication skill, computer skills, ongoing skills. From this research it has cleared that
