INTRODUCTION
Communication is a way through which the exchanging of an information takes place
like via writing, speaking and using some other mode. The report main aim is to provide a deep
understanding of communication in workplace. Present study helps to describe the importance
of internal and external communication for all sizes of company. It is also presents the negative
consequences for a companies when a poor communication takes place. This report will be
taking TESCO as an example in order to clearly describe the importance of the effective
interdepartmental communication.

clarity in their team roles. As a result, the employee were unable to meet target on time
and further it led to waste of resources.
On the other side, if there is a poor communication between the manager and leader then
it also lead to bring the employees into wrong direction and as a result, it did not attain
the aim of a country.
Beside this, it also leads to decrease motivation such that when the employees find that
managers did not communicate with them, they feel low and as a result, the workers start
suffering and demotivated (Lewis, 2019). Overall, the productivity also fallen.

R&D department- production department: In TESCO, the research department
continuously identify the needs of their customers and then communicate with the production
departmentwhich helps the business in meeting customer expectation and making optimum
utilization of resources.
HR and other department: HR recruit the best candidate by consulting with different
