Objective evaluation of communication and collaborative skills.
Effective communication is analysed as important measure in every business enterprise
for the achievement of success in business operations. Within personal and professional life there
are various important tasks and situations are need to be faced by individuals which provides
both the provides both negative and positive experience. According to Eunson, B. (2012)
collaboration as respect for other professional, service users and their skills and from this starting
point an agreed sharing of authority, responsibility and resource for specific outcomes or actions
gained through co-operation and consensus This positive and negative will each either be faced
by individuals while working in an organisation along with some qualified and experienced
professional or among the class members in schools and colleges etc (Blundel, 2016). Present
reports will provide a complete understanding about my professional academic experience while
working in team based on effectiveness of team members with an effective management of task
and responsibilities which are assigned to be accomplished in specified time limit. I Want to
reflect a situation of my Academic experience in which a group presentation was assigned by
tutors between the group of five members which was to be presented within 2 weeks. Groups
members in my team was from different backgrounds which was major problem for us because
usually people having different back ground and experience was having different concepts,
knowledge, views and understanding towards the work.
In this, reflection of personal experience has been presented by using the Gibbs reflective
model has used to gain understanding the influence of personal experience of an individual in
different situation (Bell and Smith, 2010). It is also considered personal feelings and behaviour
of individuals changes continuously according to the situations and analysing the major task
which are allotted to him. Further, I have clearly determined my personal experience while
working a team leader in groups presentation task assigned by tutor in college. Below given are
stages that reflects the personal understanding m, experience and collaborative skills which I
have achieved while performing this group presentation on companies marketing strategies.
Gibbs reflective model
Description stage: At the initial stage of our group presentation task, all the members in our
group was not introduced with each other and I was having a feel that it will be tough task for us

to present to complete that present stage. For the further accomplishment of project I have
decided that to conduct a meeting for our members in our college premises for making
discussion and distribution of task. At the day of meeting, all the members have arrived and
given self introduction to each other for the personal knowledge, Background and experience.
All the task which are needed to be done for completion of presentation was discussed and as a
team leader I was having the authority to delegate the task to other persons. I have delegated the
task by combining two members with each other so that they will each other while having any
difficulty. I was having responsibilities to make effective external analysis of company and
monitoring the task of others. I have distributed the task two team members by analysing their
choice and requirements.
Feeling: At the starting stage, We all were having a feel that it is critical task for us and
problems will raise due to difference in our point of views, behaviour and understanding towards
the task. After making effective distribution, I have analysed that members having confidence
and understanding they are able to perform the task. In this overall task, my feelings have also

changed with the situations and condition which was faced by us. Further, at the middle stage the
of presentation, a critical situation was occurred between two group members due to in effective
allocation of funds (Hurn and Tomalin, 2013). One of our team was given the duty of collection
and distribution of funds for completion of activities and he had made some mistakes due to
which situation of shortage of funds was occurred due to which one member has faced
difficulties because he was unable to complete the task. Now it was hard time for us to complete
the task and after analysing the situation I have made a decision that we all will make equal
contribution to perform the task. With this, all the colleagues have appreciated me for making
effective decision.
Evaluation: At this, positive and negative situation was also raised between tour team members
while making presentation and collection of information but I have observed the issues' ad
provides effective solutions from own ideas and experience. At this, the task have been
completed by me and the team members effectively with collaboration and coordination.
Analysis: At this stage, I have analysed the work which was performed by the team members
and analysed some changes which are needed to make the presentation effective. Also, suggested
the ways from my personal experience to complete the research and development of effective
marketing plan for organisation. After making changes, I have made the presentation with help
of two members who have suggested some effective presentation skills and creative through
which we have together made the presentation attractive.
Conclusion: This was stage of final assessment at which all the members have considered that
presentation were and realized that the presentation was very effective and creative. This
collective efforts have provided confidence to all members (Eunson, 2012). At the day of
presentation, I have distributed parts of presentation to the team members and we have presented
the task effectively in front of panel of tutors and directors. At the end, all the teacher have
appreciated our team work and also provided their reviews to make it more effective. We all
have received first prize for our presentation and appreciated each other for effective
performance.
Action plan: At this stage, I have realized that there was some requirement skills for me to
achieve because I have also made some mistakes making distribution of task and responsibilities
among the team members due to which the problems of shortage of funds was arisen and due to

which one of our members have faced difficulties. Further, in this I have also gained an effective
experience of working people from diversified culture and shared my personal experience
through interaction. In the future, If will receive this types of presentation task, I will make
distribution of work on the basis of ability and knowledge rather analysing the personal choice
ad requirements.
