Introduction
Communication problems are the major barriers that prevent organisation to accomplish its
objective appropriately. The main motive of every organisation is to enhance communication
skills in its departments but lack of interest, attention of employees at workplace leads to failures
of achievement towards goals. Every manager sets his expectations from the employee working
under him, and it is the duty of both the manager and employee to develop effective
communication ways to understand each other (Dyer, 2017). Better communication always leads
to better understanding. Many organisation fails to develop effective communication in their
departments because employees of their department feel trouble to communicate with their
managers which develops communication problems and they fails in understanding their needs
and responsibility at the workplace. The assignment is reflecting on communication problems in
the context of the organisation.
Major reasons behind communication problems
When there is a poor understanding between employees and managers then there is poor
communication system in the organisation. It is essential for every organisational manager to
enhance communication ways within his employees of the department, but there are several
reasons due to which they fail to maintain effective communication. Some of the major reasons
for communication problems are defined below:
Mismatched goals: The employee should be cleared and focused for the organisational goals
and it is the duty of a manager to provide proper training to employees to accomplish goals. But
miscommunication and poor communication within the employees and the managers lead to
person individual goals, it creates confusion and conflicts between them (Maxwell, 2018). For
example, employee work according to his career progression and set its own goals, such type of
miscommunication leads to failures in the accomplishment of organisational goals (Brookins,
2019).
Disengagement of employees: Employee morale should be high at the workplace, low morale
can be lead to disengagement of employees which means employees are not interested in
performing the organisational tasks (Brookins, 2019). Disengage employees never like to
communicate with their managers as they are not likely to perform their task by putting their

organisation. If an employee is not properly trained for the task or may not have the proper
