INTRODUCTION
Effective communication and team work play vital role in success and growth of
individuals as well as companies where they work to achieve desire aim and reach set objectives.
Communication aid to boost morale and confidence level among people who attempt to work
together for varied reasons. It driven the attention of individual person toward performing and
working within team work. The current assignment will explain models of communication and
skills related to this term. Furthermore, the report will also define the appropriate examples of
poor communication and recommendations related to improving that by using findings from
published literature.
TASK
Demonstrating models of communication and interaction skills
Without effective communication, no one in the workplace are able to achieve strategic
aims and set objectives. It is important for employees to consider the useful models or concepts
of communication and these are:
SMCR model of communication-
This concept is developed or designed by David Berlo, which may represent the effective
and useful procedure of effective communication in the simplest manner. This model stands for
sender, message, channel, and receiver (Nandi, 2021). According to this concept, individual
person may concentrate on process of sending message, for which it is important to utilize the
best method or mode of effective interaction. The selection of communication approach, enable
individuals or workers to interact with other in clear and systematic manner. It may also allow
them to share important information with whom they want to share with. According to first
element, sender may effort to choose the most effective source of information through which
they may convey message or send it to receiver in proper manner. Their knowledge and
communication skills play viral role in the context of this procedure. Message is another
component o SMCR model that is considered as substance which is being sent by specific sender
to a receiver, who are able to use information properly in the workplace.

With this model, management in a company focus on essential elements such as encoding
and decoding which may happen before sender may send important message and before receiver
obtain that respectively and appropriately. By considering the key elements of this concept, they
may take benefit of conducting effective communication practice that aid to share essential info
on time without making any mistake.
Aristotle model of communication-
It is also included in category of effective communication models that usually concentrate
on speaker & speech (Alshanqiti and Khozium, 2021). Aristotle model encompasses key 5
elements such as speaker, speech, occasion, effect and audience. In order to interact with others

in same workplace, it is quite essential for individuals to concentrate on each element that stated
above. For example, a speaker is the main source of information sharing process because they
are able and accountable to organize and excellently prepare their speech that they may share
with target audience in systematic manner without making any mistake that put negative impact
on individuals' performance. This concept may revolve around the first element such as speaker
as the main subject of theory. It can be said that effective interaction in work area among
individual candidate is possible when speaker use their skills in appropriate way. As they are
responsible to deliver significant information to all the candidates, especially who are capable
and need that. This model may help individuals to reduce the communication gap between them
and management and allow working in productive manner, which is important. The best thing
about current framework is that it may cater particular and general vantage points, it may also
give space of sender to ask few questions from receiver and to interpret raw employees of
observation. It enables speaker to become a good listener and translator that capable to increase
work productivity.
Shannon and Weaver's model-
Along with above models, this strategic theory is also related to communication and
improve the overall procedure in effective manner (Shannon Weaver Model Of Communication,
2022). It may argue that individuals or workers communication might be broken down into six
key terms such as sender, encoder, channel, noise, decoder and receiver. It is also known as
linear model of communication that effectively provides a concept in term of analysing how a
message is sent and receive by the others. The model begin with specific term and that is sender,
which mean that a person who have particular information is accountable to transmit or encode
that appropriately. It can be said that an encoder might be a telephone, that help to convert voice
message into binary 1s & 0s to be sent down telephone channel. The third element of Shannon
and Weaver model is channel that also utilize during procedure of effective interaction in an
organization related to management and employees. The source or channel of effective
communication is infrastructure that may get data from a sender and covert via decoder and
obtainer. Sender may select those channels or sources via which they may take approach to send
message without breaking that due to noise or other factors of communication barriers. Internal
and external noise are the two categories of challenges or forces that affect the way people
interact with each other.

Transactional model of communication-
This concept may define communication as a key procedure in which individuals
generate social realities within cultural, relation and social contexts. Along with above three, this
model may drive the attention and concentration of individual candidate in a company toward
creating relationship with all whether they are existing or new candidates via effective
communication, instead of focusing on just sharing data or important message. It may differ from
interaction and transmission concepts in essential manners, including conceptualization of
interaction, role of sender & receiver.
This model enables workers to focus on exchanging information that benefit everyone
from high authority to team members who are working together and effort to achieve set aims at
time. According to this, it is important for sender encoding message properly in term of using
those channels that run effectively and share information without interrupting to any form of
barrier whether it is external or internal. They may take care of all the factors that create barrier
and mislead behaviour of people, which is not appropriate for them in form of sharing useful
data.

Communication skills-
It is quite important for individual person to have or develop effective communication
skills, because it has contributed to enhance their performance and productivity level, especially
when they are working together for purpose of achieving strategic aims. These skills are:
Clarity-
It is one of those competencies that are related to specific term and that is effective
communication. According to this skill, individuals have capability to clarify and clear
information that they tend to share with others (Communication Skills: Definitions and
Examples, 2021). When employees are speaking, it is quite essential for them to be audible and
clear. They may take effort to adjust their speaking tone so individual may be heard in a variety
of setting is a competence.
Empathy-
This competence may drive the attention of workers toward sharing emotions with others.
It can be said that empathy as communication skill is quite essential in one on one and team
settings, because it enables a person to become a productive and supportive individual. It moves
persons and make them able to comprehend other individual's emotions and chose an satisfactory
response.
Active listening-
It is important for person to have active listening skill which falls under the category of
communication competency. It may drive their attention toward actively listening what other
says and tend to obtain.
Sincerity-
Another communication skill is sincerity that drive the attention of candidates toward
becoming a real person instead of pretending to be someone else. They may attempt to become a
sincere person.
Friendliness-
Kindness and honesty are the best elements of effective communication that play
significant role in the context of individuals success and progress (Top 10 Communication Skills,
2021). When individuals are working with other, they may take initiative to become a friendly
person that aid to build trust and allow others to share key information.

Examples of poor communication and suggestions to improve that by using findings from

Poor communication can be defined as the miss communication which occurs from ego,
attitudes. It is the disagreement between sender saying and hearing. Examples of poor
communication comprises through gossips, in form of written communication, reviews and
sometimes occurs because of wrong confirmation.
Gossips are considered as the workplace violence which is the form of attack. As for
instance rumours are common for poor communication regarded as gossiping , the employees in
workplace are gossiping and spreading information about what is not yet confirmed and sharing
in abundance the same information openly (Arop, Owan and Akan, 2018). Also, any new hirer
in firm, at the position of president in company gossiping about the full inaccuracies and
overstating for the CEO and head officers even when their intention does not mean it. So the
President of company is spreading rumour about reorganizing the post which lays for future lay-
offs is regarded as out of control manner leads to poor communication.
Furthermore, examples: when the emails and notices send in hurry in organization
regarding important information and changes by employees, so without confirmation about the
actual information will lead poor communication. as the email will contain many information
errors. So the electronic mail must be sent by one person to another by confirming valid
information and reviewing the information which must be Transmitted in email for proper
communication.
Information communicated with anger is reasoned as poor communicating in workplace,
as in business organization of software company, the CEO has sent the mails for strictly
regulating the staff members and replacing employees for coming late and leaving early. also,
threatening the staff personnels by not giving additional benefits (Kumari and Ranjan, 2020).
But this email was mistakenly posted on internet which resulted in negatively impact on
companies stock price.
There re various models which helps in improving poor communication in workplace, by
using SMCR stands with four components which is used for encoding and decoding of
information and message . Mainly senders here sends the information in workplace directly to all
employees and staff personnel, message is short and clear and communicated directly in every
department by head official, the sender uses proper channel for direct communication as email,

notices in workplace. Furthermore, the receiver will receive information. As by using this model
will do not require any feedback from the receiver, it is easy going less time-consuming, also it
does not involve any barrier and noise as it is the one way process of communication (Puscas,
Kogan and Holmboe, 2021). Which helps in improving poor communication between
employees and head officials.
By using Aristotle model of communication helps manager at workplace by
communicating information and message in proper way by moulding speaking skills of sender.
This has helped In improving poor communication which is unique for communicating message
to the employees at workplace. In this the sender dos not focuses on target persons for
communicating. The manager and head personnel use this model in speaking publicly. This there
is no barrier of communication incurs and no failure as no feedback is received by receiver. The
communication is only transmitted by sender publican which is less expensive and less time-
consuming which helps in improving poor communication.
CONCLUSION
From above analysis, it has been concluded that individuals has achieved strategic aims
and objectives in effective manner. They have interacted with each other in appropriate way and
work in a group to perform in productive manner. By following the SCRM and other models of
communication, individual person has resolved their issues and gained desire outcomes.
Furthermore, by summing up above discussion it has been summarized that by considering
suitable suggestions and directions, management has overcome the negative impact of poor
communication. They have considered those approaches that contributed to create positive
working environment at workplace where people interacted with each other effectively and
efficiently.
