UONL University Report: Improving Communication Skills for Career

This report identifies essential knowledge and skills for UONL university students to develop their communication abilities. Executive Summary
The main objective of this report is to identify the
various knowledge and skills which need to be
adopted by university. This is an important aspect
for the development of communication skills.
This report will include discussion on the various
articles which has been provided and with the
best suitable option for the university. It is also
suggested that ICT skills plays vital role in
development of the career for students.

Introduction
It is very important for the students to have
various communications skills in order to
enhance the productivity and efficiency within
the university. This report has been
conducted in order to evaluate the various
policies which can be adopted by UONL. This
can help the university in order to enhance
the employability with skills which need to be
adopted by the students for their future
career growth. As the university need to
introduce the various programs in which it
can focus on enhancing the different skills for
the students

Discussion
As per my experiences with the collage there were various good
experience which I have during my studies. I was able to learn on the
different information technology and the basic knowledge of the new
aspect in order to develop my personal growth. I was able to make a way
around the building but there was challenging for me at time to find out
the classes during the initial days. There was time when I use to get late
for the class because of the unknown area and I use to not find my way
from managing to reach different classes for different lectures. I am
experience good part where there my people were having friendly nature
and they helped me a lot in my weak areas. I use to face difficulty in the
group studies. My peers have helped me in understanding the various
topic related to the information technology which has assisted me in
developing skills in order to be effective and efficient learner.

Analysis
As per the analysis and situation, there are different articles
which need to be analysed in order to enhance the
employability skills for students.
As per the situation, it is identified that three
recommendations help to enhance employability skills. So,
there are three recommendations are discussed below:
 1. Language skills: way to get a job
 2. Computer and ICT skills: The Fallacy of the Digital
Native
 3. Critical Digital Literacy in the 21st Century

Article 1
From this article I identified that it is very important for the UONL university to take
the initiative in order to assist students like me in learning different languages within
the future career path. It has been identified that according to researchers, the
students who have skills of the different languages can apply and get the job easily.
As per the job requirements, the language is considered the top most priority which is
been observed within the recruiter. And this will help me in communicating with the
abroad clients. In case I plan to go to Germany or France in abroad, the foreign
language will help me in in settling my career as this is the most important aspect for
the university in order to develop employability skills within students like me. It is
identified that learning different languages is essential for students in order to build
their employability skills. (Hodge, , Wanek, and Rech, 2020)

Article 2
As it has been observed that advancement in technology is
developing day by day within the world. The use of the
technology with the computer devices is becoming the most
important for every purposes around the world in order to
save time. The technology plays important role in academic
learning and as well as in the business organisations in the
workplaces for achieving the outcomes in a better and
effective way. It is very important for the Universities to
understand the ICT skills as in the professional career.

Article 3
It is analysed that in order to achieve success and growth in 21st century it is essential for
students like me to develop ICT skills which can help them in developing their
curriculum vitae. As from the view points of the organisation, they require the candidates
who have effective skulls related to information technology in order to work with the
systems within the workplace. According to the researchers, it is advised that students
are getting better digital skills which help them to get a job in an easy way. As per this
article, it is observed by me that critical digital literacy is found to be complex and vast. t
is included and crucial elements such as digital creation, ICT proficiency, collaboration
and participation, problem solving and innovation, digital creation, digital identity,
digital learning and development. (Konar, N., 2021). I will develop the ICT skills by
undergoing any diploma course so that I can become efficient in my career development.

Application
After identifying and analysing the three articles which is discussed above it is concluded
that there are several challenges which is faced by the students and in respect to this the
university need to focus on the developing communication courses in order to develop
employability skills for students. Some of recommendation is discussed below:
 It is also recommended that UONL should introduce the induction programme for the
new students so that they do not face challenges while entering to the first day to the
university.
 As students face challenged related to the IT which need to be solved by the university.
 It is very important for the university to develop such an environment which is friendly
for the students by including the various interaction courses.

Conclusion
From the above report it is conclude that it is very important for the
University to develop certain programs in order to increase the knowledge
and skills of the students which will help them to be effective individual
within the workplace. It is been suggested that the University can focus on
ICT skills which can enhance in the productivity of an individual. There are
various solutions provided in this report which will help students in
developing their career. It is very important f or university to develop this
learning in order to make students productive and prepare them for getting a
job in a reputed organisation.
