MAIN BODY
Demonstrating an effective communication skills that are applicable to professional and an
academic
In today's competitive world, it becomes very important for an organization to develop
for an effective communication skills within the workplace so that task could be performed with
motivation and goals can be achieved as per the set strategies and the standards. People who
seeks for working harder always receives an attention but sometimes main thing is to develop an
idea and persuasion power to the boss. Communication skills helps in developing influential
tools and allows for reaching to a greater audience. At professional level, it is important for a
leader, manager or an employer in knowing a suitable way for dealing adequately with their
peers, in making better decisions in the stressful situations and in undertaking job stress. This is
the main reason where effective communication skills are valued (Tang and Ye, 2015). An
individual possessing good communication skills is been considered as most prominent in
several areas. Particularly, effective skills in respect of communication are been highly valued. In
communicating at the work place, a person must be polite and behave in a respectful manner in
the corporate settings. Such effective skills helps an organization in achieving success in the long
run as it develops better coordination and cooperation in the work environment which leads to
achievement of goals effectively and efficiently. Some of the communication skills that are said
to effective includes being a good listener, communicating with concision and full clarity,
interacting with confidence and showing an empathy while guiding or instructing an employee or
staff member.
In context of academic aspect, communicating effectively improves personal relationship
and the well-being of an individual. It allows and makes them feel like competent in the
conducting the academic activities in terms of education. It is very important for including such
type of skills at the time of teaching and in making that the children are been capable enough in

understanding the language in which the communication is been made with them (Chua and Ng,
2017). This helps in improving the communication between the students and the teachers in the
classroom. For the purpose of educating in the communication, it is important that a teacher must
possess good communication skills and contains a good pronunciation skills while teaching and
making understand the children or the students. In this context, effective communication skills
can be developed by learning basics of the non-verbal communication, asking for the honest
feedback, engaging the students in the process of communication, avoiding relying on the visual
aids, beginning and ending at the key points, recording essential presentations for the posterity,
mastering for an art of the timings, setting with comfortable speaking, creating procedures that
involves knowing the thinking and the perspective of the students etc (Ahmad, Stufhaut and
Johnson, 2016). It is very important that a teacher must make his or her student understand
about a particular topic by using practical techniques and tools so that they could understand the
concept in a useful manner.
Reflecting on individual performance, experience and behaviour in employment
I believe engaging an individual in the learning activities after experiencing the
challenging and the new situations at the workplace changes affords a positive attitude of the
professional and strengthen the belief in their respective capabilities for coping up with the
situations and their willingness in performing with belief and attitudes into the observable
actions and the learning behaviour.
In an employment, I have observed that passive and the resistant workforce ensure
affordance for the learning and the work. For example- people having a conservative attitudes
towards the change prefer from sticking to the established routine work (Malik and et.al., 2019).
Through this I had learned that professional with the positive attitudes towards the workplace
changes will be counted as more likely in approaching an opportunity for the learning. For
examining a change orientation in an individual, an attitude implies willingness for changing
work behaviour and the routine for generating knowledge and the skills. Moreover, I analysed
that professional with the strong beliefs within their abilities for coping up with the challenges
that arises at the workplace. Professional perception regarding self-efficacy seems to have a
crucial motivational effect on the actions and the performance in the new and the challenging
work situations (Sigala and Chalkiti, 2015). For instance- self-efficacy was found to identify an

initial decision in performing behaviour or the action, expending efforts and preserving in face of
the barriers and the setbacks.
I assessed that facing the changes at the workplace usually increases an uncertainty
among the workers. For reducing this uncertainty, an individual has to take active approach for
working in order to determine present task and the relevant affordance. In respect of the
workplace changes and learning, personal initiative presents a helpful work behaviour. This
intends for empirically examining whether the personal initiative serves as the relevant
antecedent to the reflective practice in the professional work practices (Spencer, 2015). On the
basis of the theoretical considerations, it has been assumed that professional level of the personal
initiative in work environment influences the decision for participating in the change learning
affordance through the reflective activities of learning.
Apart from the cognitive resources, I observed that learning needs motivational forces
where the purpose of this study is investigating attributes of motivational work place that drives
learning through the reflective practice.
CONCLUSION
By summing up this report, it can be concluded that effectual communication assists firm in
getting the desired level of outcome or success through persuading employees toward common
goals. It can be summarized from the report that by following active approaches problems canbe
resolved at workplace prominently.
