Effecting communication is very important and must be adapted by learners for enjoying its
benefits. These are not easily understood, but thorough practice and dedication leads the
learner to success. It requires patience for it is a continuous learning and requires
development of verbal as well as non-verbal skills for communicating. The level of
communication is complex in different contexts and there must be knowledge of its
application. A level of trust needs to be built while learning any skill in academic or
professional context. Approach can be made by speaking and listening directly or through
any other way like learning through books, seminars, videos and others. Stimulation of
conversation is also required by responding to the learning attributes. It is basically the give
and take of the various types of information such as your feeling and its expression of what is
going on in the surroundings. It involves everything such as hearing, telling, analysing and
empathising. There are different types of communication like the interpersonal
communication, intrapersonal communication, face to face interaction, talking via phone,
communicating digitally through mails and social platform. To be an effective communicator,
one needs to learn and practice thoroughly numerous skills altogether.

contexts.
Learnt active listening which basically means paying a clear look to what the other person
has to say. This skill helped to be regarded well among the co-workers. It is a simple skill but
still has complexities which make it tough to inculcate and enhance. Have improved this skill
by not paying attention to the things causing distractions like mobile phones, social media,
and by thoughtfully responding through comments and questions rising in mind. Have also
adapted the way and format of communicating to the audience, because it is different from
the normal communication one does in person. And this can be done by communicating
through conferences, or video callings in order to address them properly. Moreover, formal
communication deals with sending emails, letters or if necessary through meetings. It is learnt
that honesty and kindness are essentials for fostering faith and better understanding which is a
major trait both in the academic and professional context. The way of approach shows your
intentions and attitude towards the person. Being open minded about the interaction and the
response received keeps one understanding their weak points and working on them. Small
informal gestures doesn’t do any harm even if the purpose of communication is related to
work, it simply makes everyone comfortable engaged in the conversation and in turn
develops the relationships with the teachers, students at the academic level and with the
managers, colleagues at the professional level. Learn to present self with confidence like
making an eye contact while talking, using a gesture like straight shoulders and preparing
some key stuff before time to show your well-polished thoughts. And everything comes in
handy when there is confidence during the school activities and the job interviews. Giving
and receiving feedback is the have learnt to entrust the person of your involvement in the
conversation whether at formal or informal level. Feedback helps in strengthening the
relationships amongst communicators and also gives you new perspectives and ideas about
the project through questions and answers. Learnt that there should be audibility and clarity
while taking so that the ideas are conveyed clearly avoiding any sort of misunderstanding.
This is important to learn and incorporate for; speaking too loudly can portray the
undisciplined and disrespectful trait and speaking too slowly, can show nervousness and lack
of confidence and knowledge.
