 Communication is simply action of transferring information from one place to
another.
 It is activity of conveying meanings by utilise of mutually understood signals,
signs and semiotic rules.
 This study is based on Sport Love. It is an independent London based sports
and leisure centre business.
 It will explain common barriers and strategies to overcome it.

Common Barriers and Challenges to
Communication
Communication is essential to every person in working it the any of organization.
There are many reasons which are created barriers to effective communication.
These barriers are such as following:
 Emotional Barriers
 Cultural Barriers
 Physical Barriers
 Language Barriers
 Perception Barriers

Strategies to overcome barrier to
communication
Sport Love follow different strategies to overcome barriers to communication
between staff and management in the workplace. These ways are such as
following:
 Clarity in thoughts
 Understanding the needs
 Utilise simple language
 Active listening

Way to culture influences

People have many cultures which is influenced communication between them
while working in organization. In Sport Love, staff and management are
multinational working in the firm. But they are little connection between them.

 This report has summarised that different barriers to communication such as
Emotional Cultural, Physical, Language and Perception in the workplace.
 It can be concluded that strategies to overcome the barriers like clarity in

avoid information overload and get feedback in the Sport Love.
