INTRODUCTION
Business communication refers to the process of sharing information between people
within the workplace and outside the organisation. Effective business communication is that
where people or employees and management in order to reach towards the goals of an
organisation(Ali and et.al., 2021). The chosen country is Australia as the destination country in
order to spend three year for business management student for purpose of studies and exploring
themselves. The present report will cover discussion about the common challenges and barriers
for the effective communication. In addition to this, the report will cover analysis about the
effective strategies for overcoming communication barriers.
MAIN BODY
Common challenges and barriers to effective communication
There are certain kind of communication barriers and challenges which has been defined
into the following manner:
Cultural barriers: When students are going abroad for purpose of study then they have
observed differences in the culture of Australia and UK. So somewhere they have found
differences in their study environment and their living environment as well. There will be
chances that sometimes they have to face misunderstanding with their teachers due to
which students need time to adjust themselves.
Time differences: It has been observed that students have to face problems regarding
communicating with their friends and family members as well due to time differences
between countries.
Language barriers: Students have to face challenges regarding differences in the
languages into different countries of UK and Australia(Heo and Lee., 2018). Students
has to face struggle in terms of understanding language of another country and
somewhere they can score low because of communicating into the second language.
Effective strategies for overcoming communication barriers
There are certain strategies which can be used in order to overcome the barriers of
communication which has been defined into the following manner:

Change in teaching style: Teachers have to use unique teaching style because students
are new to this study environment of Australia where its not easy to adjust themselves
into another country's environment(Klimova and et.al., 2019). In this way, class can
become more interactive and interesting as well.
Clear communication: Within the country of Australia, it is very important to
communicate into clear terms so that students can manage their work into result oriented
terms.
Regular communication and flexibility: Flexibility is necessary for students so that
they feel comfortable while learning into effective terms. The regular communication
also help students in order to make strong relationship with their teachers and build
strong bond as well.
CONCLUSION
The above stated report concludes that business communication is very important in order
to achieve the targets into successful terms. It has been concluded that there are certain kind of
challenges and barriers in terms of effective communication due to which it is not easier for
students to sustain themselves into proper manner. It has been determined that there are certain
effective strategies in order to overcome the communication barriers. These strategies help the
students into context of resolving their problems. So within the business it is very important to
have clear and effective communication as well.
