INTRODUCTION
Communication is most important for an organisation as it helps in exchange of
information among employees, customers so that overall objectives can be achieved. There are
various barriers in communication that create hinder in growth and success of enterprise in
competitive market. The report has explained about principle and purpose of communication that
can be used by enterprise while performing different function. It has also explained about the
various barrier of communication and suggested appropriate strategies that can be used by firm
to remove barrier for smooth operation of business.
Literature review
As per the paper published by Akhmetshin and et.al. (2017), there are a variety of
principles that are implicit in the types of communications that are adopted at the organisational
workplace. The authors illustrate that while undertaking formal communication it is necessary to
ensure that the communication is precise and to the point with relevant facts and ideas. This
helps in avoiding beating around the bush and also helps in addressing the main issue
immediately. Further the importance of the selection of the proper medium has been emphasised
where the fact that communication can either be done orally or written must be evaluated and the
best options that will be most effective needs to be selected. Another major point is that in
organisational setting, it is necessary to have completely researched about the background so that
any query can be addressed satisfactorily and the overall presentation should be organised
addressing every point in a logical flow and in a systematic manner.
However, the Alert (2017), further illustrate that these principles should be avoided or
applied minimally where the informal communication is taking place in the organisation. Here
while having discussions with the colleagues one should not spend too fake or formal as this can
reduce the trust level and make the communicator sound as a fake person. Therefore the
judgement of the communicator plays a major role in integrating the principles that should be
complied with while communicating based on different situations and the different mechanisms
that are adopted.
Further addressing the different aspects of the communication that takes place and the
different barriers that arise during such communication, the Pepermans and Maeseele (2016),
